DC rapper Baby Jamo has landed himself in some serious trouble after being arrested for crashing his car into a barricade outside the Capitol building.
On Monday (November 6), the United States Capitol Police put out a press release about the arrest, in which they revealed the “Back Door Con Artist” MC (real name Ricardo Glass) was arrested alongside Onosetale Okojie after they crashed into the barricade around the secured government building in the early hours of that morning.

The car they crashed — a white Infiniti Q50 — was previously idling at a green light, which led the police to believe that the driver was “impaired.” When the police attempted to make the stop, the pair allegedly sped away, which is when they crashed into the Capitol building barricade.
The DC rapper and his alleged co-conspirator then got out of the car and attempted to escape on foot, but both were caught separately.

In searching the area after the pair’s arrests, guns were also found — one of which had a so-called “giggle switch,” which is an illegal modification designed to turn a regular gun into a machine gun. It’s unclear how the Capitol police were able to tie the guns to Baby Jamo and his alleged co-conspirator.
The pair have been charged with almost 20 felonies, including two charges of carrying a pistol without a license, unauthorized use of a vehicle, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property of $1000 or more, and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device.
Other charges on the long list include: fleeing from a law enforcement officer in a motor vehicle, felon in possession, reckless driving, no permit, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of unregistered ammunition, obliterate, remove, change, or alter the serial number of a gun, and unlawful possession of a machine gun.
It is unclear where the pair have been taken to be held on their charges until their arraignment. However, the Capitol police have issued a statement claiming that taking the rapper and his alleged accomplice off the streets is a victory in DC’s battle against illegal guns.

“This is just another example of our officers and their vigilance and perseverance putting away dangerous criminals,” said USCP Assistant Chief Sean Gallagher in the press release statement. “They are constantly working to keep everyone safe throughout the Capitol Complex.”
