Daz Dillinger says that he’s currently in the process of putting together a follow-up movie to the N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton.
The former Death Row Records artist says that the film will based on Tha Dogg Pound and titled DPG For Life.
“I was talking to Ice Cube and he was telling me about the N.W.A movie,” Daz Dillinger says during a newly published interview with VladTV. “He was like, ‘When Eazy [E] dies, that leaves it open up for part two.’ And that’s where we come in. Because when Eazy dies, it was us. We gon’ make our own [film] called ‘DPG For Life.’ Because when Eazy died, Suge Knight and them still around, Dr. Dre, and the story from there, what happens after that? We up next in there, we just putting it together.”
Straight Outta Compton is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14.

This movie will never happen because literally nobody gives a shit about tha dogg pound. NWA has mainstream appeal and a bigger story to tell, and they were way more culturally significant. This movie will never get made. They can barely even get a Suge Knight movie any interest and he is in the news CURRENTLY.
Agreed. Who the hell wants to see a movie about 2 of Snoop Dogg’s weed carriers?
Maybe your mom does…
Y’all thinking about it wrong. Y’all are thinking he means just a “Dogg Pound” movie as in the group Daz and Kurupt. No, basically he’s saying Snoop & Dre making the Chronic and Doggystyle and everything around it. DPG was their entire clique. There are enough people who give a shit about that. They could make a movie based around Snoop by himself, so with Dre, Kurupt, Daz, Suge, Lady of Rage, Snoop’s murder case, Pac when he got out of jail etc. etc., yeah there’s enough interest in that… but
I agree that it won’t get made though
you forgot nate dogg r.i.p. but it might as well either be
1.a real death row biopic showing the rise and fall of death row records.
2.or a dogg pound,213 biopic (warren g,nate dogg, snoop, kurupt, daz) showing the rise or dogg pound and the beef between snoop daz vs kurupt and suge in the early 2000s then getting back together ending with the death of nate dogg rip.
Keep dreaming Daz
Oh my God, he believes himself
People forget about all the tracks daz produced, while at deathrow
I think Daz has a good idea, because Death Row has a lot of untold stories. I would love to know more about what happened to Ren and Yella after Eazy passed.
But it would also be nice to see a bit more about How the chronic was made, how Miche’le was signed, Sam Sneed, Dj Quik, Rage, Nate Dogg, Dogg Pound and how Suge bailed out 2Pac for 1.5m for a 3 Album deal.
It would be interesting, but usually for Daz to talk about it so soon it would normally not happen and if it does. I doubt it will be an Universial Picture Cut. Probably a lower budget film straight to DVD.
