Dave East has unveiled a brand new sneaker collaboration with Diadora where he designed his own colorway for the N9002 silhouette.
Earlier this week, the Harlem-bred rapper jumped on Instagram to share a few promotional shots of the new sneakers set to arrive exclusively at Foot Locker on January 29 in a full size men’s run (8-13). In the post, East rocked the kicks with a fresh tracksuit in the same colorway before showing them off again with a blue letterman jacket ensemble.

According to a press release, the collection is in honor of Dave East’s late friend and fellow rapper Kiing Shooter. The sneakers come with Shooter’s birth and death year along with the initials FTD, which stands for “From the Dirt,” on the interior.

Dave East’s journey into the sneaker world isn’t the only thing he’s been handling outside of the music space. The 34-year-old opened his first store called From The Deli right in Harlem, New York, in Summer 2022. The store has FTD merchandise, including apparel, Dave’s own strain of marijuana called East Lato and more.
East is also getting ready for the premiere of season three of Wu-Tang: An American Saga, which will air on February 15 with three episodes to start. New episodes will arrive every Wednesday that follows through April 5.
According to Deadline, Hulu has teased a synopsis for Season 3 where the show will follow the Wu-Tang Clan’s “five-year plan as they face and overcome different challenges following the release of their debut album and their continued rise to fame.
“While each of the members go on separate journeys to figure out where they fit in the music world, RZA struggles to stay on top of things in order to fulfill the promise he made to his Wu brothers. As money, fame, ego, and business threaten to tear the group apart, they must find a way to come together and cement their legacy.”

RZA and Method Man are on-board as executive producers, while Dave East stars in the role of Meth. Other members of the cast include Ashton Sanders (RZA), T.J. Atoms, Johnell Young, Uyoata Udi, Shameik Moore, Siddiq Saunderson, Julian Elijah Martinez, Marcus Callender, Zolee Griggs and more.
Season 1 debuted in 2019 and returned with Season 2 in September 2021. The acclaimed series has won a pair of Golden Reel Awards, and RZA notched a nomination for a Primetime Emmy in the Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music category.
