Dame Dash is getting in front of the mic for his next project, where he’ll team up with his former Roc-A-Fella artist Freeway for a joint album titled 365.

On Monday (November 24), the Philly native alongside Dash’s band The Black Guns dropped the visual to the album’s title track for their first offering — view it over at VIBE. The full effort is expected to arrive in early 2024.

Speaking to the outlet, the music mogul explained the sound fans can expect. “I wouldn’t categorize it as rap or Rock, it’s like rock-soul,” he said. “But again, if we’re gonna put some work on the street, it’s gotta be a drug no one ever got high off before. That’s what Roc-A-Fellas really do.”

As for how Freeway got involved with Dame and his band, he explained: “I saw how he was becoming a general over there at State Property, plus doing all the stuff with the schools. And it was like ‘Let’s do a project.’ That’s the Roc-A-Fella sh*t I’m talking ’bout. So in spirit, I just was like ‘Roc-A-Fella ain’t gonna ever gonna die, it’s just when I feel like doing something.’”

He continued: “And we’re rock stars, so we ain’t gonna come back and do no old sh*t. We’re older, we’re gonna come back and do what we do. This is what rock stars look like. We fight for education and sh*t, we deal with adversity and we’re still here. And that’s Roc-A-Fella/State Property. That’s what it is, so this is that.”

Freeway also chimed in on the new collab: “Reconnecting and collaborating with Dame has been a true honor and delight. From the moment we reconnected, it felt as if no time had passed at all. I want to give a special shout-out to OSG for facilitating our connection. Together, we embarked on a new educational journey, and it’s truly inspiring to witness the incredible progress we’ve made. Stay tuned for our exciting rock ‘n’ roll project that promises to be nothing short of amazing.”

365 is already in the can, according to Dame Dash, and it was recorded over just five days when Freeway visited his home in Florida. “Freeway came through for five days, [recorded with] me and my band,” he said. “We did 10 records and we shot the [“365″] music video.”

The album rollout will include a curriculum, a docuseries about its creation and possibly, a movie.

Earlier this month, Dame Dash sat down with Freeway on The CEO Show, and gave him his flowers after seeing all that he’s been through in and out of the music business.

“I wanted to publicly give you my blessing as a general. I want everyone to know that if I were to say, ‘Who at Roc-A-Fella has impressed [me] the most?’ it would be you,” Dame told Freeway. “Because you been through the most and you’ve done everything on your own. You have not sold your soul, you stayed cool.

“You did records with them, you doing records with me. It’s not a problem, no issues. When you get in a position of power, I see you sharing it. You really want to see your boys do good. You’re a man of your word and that’s the most important thing.”

Dame Dash went on to reveal that Freeway was actually Aaliyah‘s favorite artist on the Roc-A-Fella team.

“You were Aaliyah’s favorite artist on Roc-A-Fella, remember that,” Dame added. “She had a video and I was going out there so she could do the record with you… Because she really fucked with you. Free of charge, the whole nine.”

Freeway replied in shock: “I didn’t know I was her favorite artist. That’s dope.”
