Academy-award-winning rapper-turned-actor Common is set to star in a new film titled Suicide Squad, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Common is slated to join Will Smith, Jared Leto, and Cara Delevingne, among others in the Warner Bros action movie.
Suicide Squad is centered around DC Entertainment super-villains. The plot reportedly focuses on a group of imprisoned villains recruited by a government agency to perform covert operations.
Common’s role has not been revealed. The Chicago-native was previously in talks to play Green Lantern.
