Chrisean Rock is not backing down from her recent comments about the Israel-Palestine conflict, despite the backlash she’s receiving from it.

As previously reported, the rapper/reality star spoke about the ongoing conflict on an Instagram Live on Wednesday (February 7), and essentially blamed the issues on the fact Palestinians don’t worship Jesus.

Following an overwhelmingly negative response once the video went viral, Chrisean took to her Instagram Story to double down on her sentiments.

“See the full live nobody saying anything out of pocket,” she wrote. “this just my preference on things I respect what ppl believe I just know what the word says.”

In the original clip, Rock said of Palestinians: “They don’t believe in Jesus so that’s why it’s happening, right? Like, all of them people bowing down with their carpets that’s on the floor, they praying down to a God that said to worship his son, to accept his son first.

“And then they making big palaces of it. Like, they really standing and sticking behind it. Like, they made laws about their religion.”

She added: “Where Jesus was born at, they over there believe in something that totally have nothing to do with him. ‘Cause I seen videos where they pray at, there’s cockroaches and infested with — so what is God trying to tell us?

“That’s what I want to know from this whole situation. What is the message behind the chaos? Things always happen for a reason — not the economic, political reason. What is the spiritual reason behind it?”

Rock’s comments were widely mocked for their ignorance and factual inaccuracy as Muslims do believe in Jesus; it is Jewish people who do not believe Jesus — who himself was a Jew — to be the Messiah. Palestine also has a sizeable Christian population.

The backlash follows recent news that Chrisean Rock has been sued by backup singer James Wright Chanel over an alleged assault that took place backstage at a Tamar Braxton concert last year.

Chanel claims he was hospitalized with two broken teeth and cuts to his face after being attacked by the Crazy In Love star.

The fight reportedly stemmed from Chrisean being upset that she wasn’t allowed to perform during Braxton’s concert. The suit claims that in addition to the assault, Rock used a homophobic slur directed at Wright Chanel.

Rock has denied that the assault took place, though others, including Braxton, claimed it happened.

She is also under criminal investigation regarding the incident.
