Chris Brown, accompanied by attorney Mark Geragos, did not enter a plea to two felony charges yesterday (March 5). In addition, Brown‘s arraignment was moved to April 6.
The proceeding took little over four minutes, according to TMZ.com. As of yet, there is no known reason for the postponement, which the judge granted.
During the proceeding, Brown signed a waiver of presence, which allows Geragos to act on his behalf during minor court proceedings before April 6, for which Brown will not be required to attend.
After Brown‘s request was granted, the judge issued a warning to brown: “You are not to annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone.“
The judge also asked Rihanna‘s attorney, Donald Etra, if a “no-contact order” was in place. “Miss Fenty [Rihanna] does not request such an order,” replied Etra.
Brown has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats. He could face up to four years and eight months in prison if convicted.
