Chris Brown has claimed that the NBA disinvited him from the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game after receiving pushback from the event’s sponsors.

The controversial singer took to Instagram Stories early on Saturday (February 17) to detail his exclusion from the event.

He wrote: “I was asked by the NBA to play in the all star game this year! Only for them to call later and say they couldn’t do IT because of their sponsors like RUFFLES. At this point I’m sick of people bothering me and I’m tired of living in the fucking past. I POSTED THE EMAILS SO YALL COULD SEE. The NBA still was tryna get me to come and sit court side…NOT FUCKING HAPPENING.”

He also commented: “I ONLY GO WHERE IM APPRECIATED”

The R&B star also shared a video with a message to any doubters or trolls.

“THIS IS A MESSAGE TO ALL THE HATERS OUT THERE IF YOU DON’T LIKE WHAT I DO BUT YOU WATCH EVERYTHING I’M DOING YOU’RE STILL A FAN [winking face emoji].”

The “Run It” singer screenshotted emails which appear to show Brown being confirmed for Lil Wayne’s team during the game.

HipHopDX reached out to the purported sender of the emails for verification, but has not heard back as of this writing.

Ruffles denied Brown’s claims in a statement to HipHopDX.

It reads: “Ruffles sponsored last night’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, however Ruffles did not have any involvement in, nor visibility to, any player decisions or celebrity invite discussions.”

The “Forever” singer had been mending fences on Instagram before this latest claim.

Earlier this month, he expressed his admiration for Usher following the latter’s Super Bowl performance, seemingly burying the hatchet months after the two reportedly got into a fight.

Soon after the Atlanta native’s highly anticipated set at the NFL event, Breezy applauded his peer from a distance.

On his Instagram Stories, the singer praised the 45-year-old’s brief concert with a single emoji. The succinct post simply read: “[fire emoji] @usher.”

According to reports from last spring, Breezy and his crew assaulted Usher at a roller rink party. When news of the alleged fight first surfaced, both artists began trending on Twitter.

While the initial details of the ordeal were murky, TMZ ultimately confirmed that an argument did indeed occur.

In a video posted by the outlet, both singers could be seen at the Skate City roller rink in Las Vegas, NV with their respective crews. When Brown started trying to talk to Teyana Taylor, who was there with Usher, she turned her head. This apparently upset the “Run It” hitmaker, and he began yelling at her.
