Chlöe Bailey has shown the ultimate reverence to the late Tina Turner by performing a rendition of her Grammy Award-winning 1984 single, “What’s Love Got To Do With It.”

During CNN’s second annual Juneteenth: A Global Celebration for Freedom special, Bailey performed the infectious hit while dressed in a red and gold shimmery dress — which is an ode to Tina Turner’s classic on stage attire. She also filled in for Kelly Rowland and performed the 2002 single “Dilemma” alongside Nelly.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner,” the statement read. “With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.”

According to BBC News, Turner had dealt with a number of health complications over the years, including cancer, a stroke and kidney failure.

Tina Turner’s music career started alongside her ex-husband Ike Turner and The Ikettes, which birthed soul classics such as “Proud Mary” and “Rolling On The River.” After ending her tumultuous marriage to Ike in the 1970s, she went on to find more success as a solo act in the 1980s and 1990s.
