CHIKA has responded to the internet trolls who made light of her recent health scare which saw her make a couple of trips to the ICU.
The 26-year-old is now back home and resting after revealing on Sunday (July 9) that she was hospitalized twice due to kidney failure in Los Angeles.

Providing a health update on Tuesday night (July 11), CHIKA let fans know she was “feeling great” while blasting those who downplayed her hospital stay.
“N-ggas on instagram laughing that i *had* kidney failure like my shit ain’t back to normal function & wasn’t in my last post clearly doing fine. how you rejoicing at past trauma? it’s actually comical, lol,” she wrote.

In a follow-up tweet, she added: “Anyway, i’m feeling great. adjusting well. feeling loved and understood by the people who matter to me. and that’s all that matters. a girl is content & honestly at peace.”

Fortunately, CHIKA appears to be in much better spirits as she’s taken to her Instagram Story while at home resting.
“I’m not battling kidney failure. i’m not sick. i’m at home. rested. and you’re pissed,” She replied to a fan on Twitter on Wednesday (July 12).
CHIKA originally went public about her hospitalization with a candid post to Instagram featuring a carousel of photos in her hospital gown. “Been in the ICU twice in the past month and it’s so friggin boring that i have resorted to taking prison photos. enjoy. album in a couple- a weekz,” she wrote.
While fans began spreading rumors in her comment section, CHIKA cleared up the reasoning behind the hospital visits being due to kidney failure.

“You know you can spend 3 days in ICU and then get moved to the regular floor right,” she clapped back on Instagram. “Please shut the fuck up, i had kidney failure.”
On the music side, CHIKA is gearing up to unleash her SAMSON album, which arrives on July 28. Her debut LP features singles such as “Truth or Die” with Freddie Gibbs, “DEMIGOD” and “REQUIEM FOR A DREAM” among the 20 tracks.
