Chief Keef will be telling his own story onscreen very soon, and he’ll have help from Lyrical Lemonade founder Cole Bennett and Black-ish creator Kenya Barris.
Varietybroke the news on Tuesday (October 15) that the drill icon will be the subject of a documentary directed by Bennett and produced by Barris and his longtime associate Jeremy Allen.

Per Variety, the doc “will examine Chicago’s influence on Keef’s life and career, as well as his impact on the city’s music scene and beyond.”
Bennett was responsible for Keef’s first Chicago concert in over a decade, a set at this past summer’s Lyrical Lemonade Summer Splash 2024 festival.

Unfortunately, shortly after that show, Keef postponed an entire planned summer tour due to a “medical emergency,” announcing the postponement on the day of the tour’s first show.
On July 16, the Chicago rapper was scheduled to perform at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway. But hours beforehand, Live Nation issued a statement from Keef announcing that not only that show, but the whole 17-date A Lil Tour would be pushed back.

The statement read: “To my fans, I’m so sorry to announce this, but due to a medical emergency, I’ve been ordered to stay home to recover, so I have to postpone the tour. Those who bought tickets can opt for a refund or keep it for a future date. I intend to be back on the road soon. Thank you, I love y’all.”
The next day, the “Faneto” rapper followed up by posting a similar message on his Instagram Story.

“[F]or health reasons I’m postponing the tour until later this year,” it read. “Be on the road real soon!
The dates were rescheduled in early September. A Lil Tour will now begin on October 30 in San Francisco and continue until November 24 in Washington, DC. Information can be found at Ticketmaster.
It seems possible, given their burgeoning friendship, that Sexyy Red may appear at one or two of Keef’s upcoming dates.
During an August appearance on the Thoughts in a Culli podcast, Sexyy was asked about her relationship with the Chicago rapper, as the pair have seemingly gotten quite cozy in recent months.

“It’s genuine, that’s my peoples. That’s my dog,” she said. “I don’t got too many homeboys that I can sit on the phone with. And I’m not even saying that’s my homeboy ‘cause I don’t know what we got going on. We like each other. But we can sit on the phone, we can be around each other and act like we been knew each other all these years. Yeah, [we like each other!] That’s my n-gga.”
And after clarifying she’s not with her most recent child’s father and that her first child’s father is in jail, she (perhaps jokingly) said of Keef: “That might be my third baby daddy!”
