Chief Keef brought himself to tears during the making of his Zaytoven collaboration “Ain’t Gonna Happen,” but he was able to mask his feelings through a natural reaction.

The Chicago rapper took to Twitter on Friday (January 7) to reveal he cried while recording the GloToven track, which was released in March 2019. Instead of including the sound of him crying in the studio, he decided to use laughter — something he does every time he cries.
“Fun fact: on front of ain’t gonna happen a young n-gga was cryin thinking about them members but everytime I cry I laugh so I ended up laughing and taking the crying out the front you only hear it on intro by the time I got to laughin,” he wrote.

“Ain’t Gonna Happen” finds Chief Keef rapping about the loss of family and friends he’s lost over the years, including his stepbrother Ulysses, Fredo Santana and his cousin Big Glo (formerly known as Blood Money).
“I wanna bring my brother back but I know it ain’t gon’ happen,” he raps on the song. “Knew I had to be the man back when I had started trappin’/I never gave a fuck what they said/Foenem told me off with they heads/Surely, you don’t sleep in they beds/You surely wasn’t raised with they kids.”

Zaytoven’s piano-driven instrumental is one of 12 songs on the GloToven project, which featured one appearance from Lil Pump.
In September, Chief Keef suffered another loss when associate and fellow Glo Gang rapper 600BossMoo reportedly died in a murder-suicide. According to reports, 600BossMoo shot and killed a woman in Los Angeles before turning the gun on himself.
