Charli Baltimore has shared her thoughts about the Notorious B.I.G’s 2009 biopic and how she was left out from its narrative.
In a new interview clip with VladTV published on Monday (October 9), the 49-year-old rapper discussed her exclusion from Notorious and how it never really bothered her because the project was one-dimensional to begin with.

“If you really want to get an in-depth look at the man and really know how he was, the only two people that could do that are D-Roc and [Lil] Cease,” Baltimore said. “So I wasn’t really trippin’ off of that.”
She added: “I never watched the whole movie, but like just from what I gathered, it seemed like it was more focused on his personal life, and I’m like why would you make a movie about this man whose, y’know, musical legacy may live on forever as far as Hip Hop is concerned, and focus it all on his personal life?”
Baltimore and Biggie met in 1995 and began dating soon after. The pair remained together till the “Hypnotize” hitmaker was shot and killed in 1997.
Following the murder, she continued her rap career and released her first and only LP, Cold As Ice, to moderate success. Her career in music has slowed down significantly over the past few years, with her last full-length release being the 2013 mixtape, Hard 2 Kill.

Still, it is important to note that Baltimore was present during some of Hip Hop’s most crucial years, meaning that she was an eyewitness to the culture’s development as well as the events that fueled it.
During the same interview referenced above, she talked about how music executive Lance “Un” Rivera told her decades ago that he had been stabbed by JAY-Z.
The rap veteran recounted the aftermath of the stabbing, which took place in December 1999 at a Q-Tip album release party. JAY-Z’s then-upcoming Volume 3: The Life and Times of S. Carter album had been bootlegged and rumors were swirling that Rivera was responsible.
Baltimore recalled walking into the party immediately after the violent incident. “I actually walked up, and Un was on the ground. And I’m like, ‘What are you doing?’ and he’s like, ‘I’m stabbed, I’m stabbed. Jay stabbed me.’ So I’m like, what! And he’s like, ‘JAY-Z stabbed me.’”

As DJ Vlad laid out during the chat, there are multiple accounts of what happened at the party, though witnesses at the time fingered Hov for the assault. After initially pleading not guilty, he changed his plea to guilty for a misdemeanor assault charge.
