Charli Baltimore has added some color to the dynamic of her on-again, off-again relationship with the late Notorious B.I.G. and shared how she learned of Faith Evans‘ pregnancy.

During a recent sit down with VladTV, the rapper and television personality revealed how she learned of Biggie getting Evans — who he was married to — pregnant during what she claims was a “break” in her relationship with the late legendary lyricist.

“I think it was his mom that told me. I don’t even think it was him,” Baltimore began, explaining Biggie himself did not initially come clean. “His mom was telling him: ‘You need to tell her what’s going on,’ and I guess he was kind of scared to tell me — if I’m not mistaken it was [Biggie’s mother] that told me. I was just kind of in shock.”

On the dynamic of their relationship, she added: “We would have moments in our relationship where we would break up for short period of time you know. I think the longest was maybe a month, two months. We definitely will have our little spats and go into our on-again, off-again so I think the way he tried to explain it was you know it happened during one of our on-again, off-again situations.”

When asked to confirm whether she believed Big’s “break baby” reasoning, Charli Baltimore jokingly explained: “Well, you know, guys are gonna say whatever they need to say to make themselves look less at fault, when they know they’re really at fault.”

Charli Baltimore’s admission comes on the heels of Evans recently remembering Biggie for his sometimes brutal honesty.

During a recent appearance on the Marriage or Mirage podcast, co-host Charmaine posed the question: “What did you love about Biggie?” To which the “Love Like This” singer quickly jumped at the opportunity to give her late husband his flowers.

“Everything. I loved everything about him,” she began. “He was honest. You understand? One thing about him, even at that young age… honest! Yo, I respect it. I’m like, I can’t take nothing else.”

The 50-year-old went on to recall a time when she asked Biggie “Did you fuck her?” and he admitted it, rather than lie. Big was “honest as fuck,” she added, before revealing: “Most of the time I didn’t know what was going on but when I did and I asked him — he told the truth.”

Faith’s declaration received a lukewarm reception from fans who poked fun at her comments about Biggie being an honest man.

“Why she lying like this , cus isn’t he the same man that act like he wasn’t screwing kim while he was with her !” commented one user.

While others defended her admission and claimed it was a wonderful way to remember her late love. “Honesty is the best gift ever and always!!! Great thing to say about him in his absence,” one commenter said.

It was love at first sight for the pair who married rather quickly, after meeting at a promotional photoshoot for Bad Boy Records in 1994. “I married her after knowing her eight days and I was happy. That was my baby,” Biggie once told VIBE. “At the same time, with us being so spontaneous, we did it backwards.”

In 1997, the iconic rapper behind “Hypnotize” and “Big Poppa” died at the age of 24. He was survived by Evans and their son, CJ Wallace, as well as his daughter T’yanna, who he had with his high school sweetheart, Jan Jackson.
