Chad Ochocinco has been talking smack about a variety of battle rappers for a hot minute, and now, he’s delivered on his threats to show them up on the mic.
After weeks of throwing battle rappers like Loaded Lux, DNA, Charlie Clips, Hollow Da Don, Goodz, and Aye Verb under the proverbial bus, the retired NFL made a surprise appearance at the URL Rap Battle’s Volume XI on Saturday (March 16) to show how nice he was behind the mic.

Ochocinco faced off against DNA, and promised to take him and fellow battle rapper Charlie Clips on at the same time. “Imma start with DNA and Charlie Clips. And I want both of them at the same time,” he said.

Chad Ochocinco has a lot of roots in the Hip Hop community, and even has a well-known cousin in the game…or so he claims.
Last year, during an episode of Nightcap with Unc and Ocho, the former wide receiver referred to A$AP Rocky as his cousin. When his co-host immediately made it clear that he didn’t buy it, the 45-year-old football veteran got defensive.

“That’s my cousin for real,” he began. “My grandma and his grandma is sisters. Why would I sit here and lie, man?”
After pointing out that lying is central to Ocho’s character, Unc said: “I’m closer kin to a Rottweiler than you and A$AP Rocky … I’m closer kin to a German Shephard than you and A$AP Rocky — you need to stop this.”

Just two months later, though, Megan Thee Stallion fans took issue with Shannon Sharpe for “disrespectful” comments he made about her on his Nightcap show with Chad Ochocinco.
The clip, which went viral on social media, has led to the former NFL star and ESPN broadcaster facing accusations of misogyny given the sexually charged nature of his remarks.
While discussing his attraction to Megan, Sharpe said: “I’d have her stretched out like quarter to three,” before adding: “I do it three ways, Ocho: deep, hard and continuously … I’d have her opening up like saloon doors.”
Sharpe was widely criticized for his comments, with one Instagram user saying: “Love Shannon, but this is wildly inappropriate. He is employed by ESPN. They don’t play that, he needs to tone it down on these types of comments. It’s not the 90s anymore.”

Another said: “In light of all the lawsuits, I just want men to chill for a min. Like take a step back from the overt/public sex talk and stories and find something safe to chat about.”
“Giving perv vibes. Please go find something else to do cause this ain’t it,” another viewer of the clip said, while someone else wrote: “Shannon is getting a bit too comfortable. He should relax, he’s giving old & creepy.”
