Cardi B recently told fans that she has a “very mean” song she wants to drop despite her team’s objections – and fans are fairly positive that BIA is the topic.

Talking to her followers in an Instagram Live on Wednesday (June 12), Bardi teased the track and asked if she should drop it.

“I wanna drop something on Thursday but they telling me not to drop it,” she said. “Should I drop it? Should I leak it? I don’t know. It’s very mean, very very mean. It’s messy.”

When the clip made its rounds on social media, fans had no doubt that it’s about BIA, considering the pair’s recent beef.

“She shouldn’t release it. Bia’s song came and went. No one is talking about the situation anymore. It’s a waste of Cardi’s time,” one person wrote, while someone else said, “Bia in terms of career, status and impact doesn’t deserve a response. Nonetheless. ll cool j fried cannibus, queen latifah cooked Foxy, Eminem handled MGK. Do with that what you will. Lol.”

Another person added: “No pls don’t give Biass more clout Cardi pls.”

The drama between the pair seemingly began earlier this year when Cardi B dropped her Missy Elliott-sampling “Like What (Freestyle)” a few months after BIA released “I’m That Bitch,” which actually features Missy’s close collaborator Timbaland.

Adding to accusations that the Bronx rap star is biting her Massachusetts-bred contemporary, the video for “Like What (Freestyle)” contains a snippet of another new Cardi B song that shares similarities with BIA’s 2023 track “Fallback.”

After the resemblance between the two songs were highlighted by a user on X, the Sisterhood of Hip Hop star replied by posting several woozy face emojis, suggesting she didn’t take kindly to the comparison.

She later wrote: “Yall are sick.”

Cardi, who is no stranger to rap beef, then appeared to hit back, writing on X: “Bitches make a fool of themselves every single time [crying face emoji] .. ima show ya something when I release this song tho [winking face emoji].”

Things heightened late last month after Cardi appeared to throw shots in her verse on the remix of GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Wanna Be.”

On the track, Bardi rapped, “Guess I’m a teacher since you wanna sub me/ She did one had no idea, thought she was on the shelf IKEA/ Hope she talk like that when I see her/ Bitch please don’t nobody wanna be her (BIA).”

Upon hearing the “Wanna Be” remix on Friday (May 31), Bia promptly took to social media to address the perceived diss.

“BITCHS IS WACK. BITCHS IS TRASH,” she tweeted. “I SHOULD HANG BITCHS RIGHT OVER MY KNEE, THE WAY I BE PUTTIN MY BELT TO THEY ASSSSSSSS.”

She then posted a video from a battle rap scene, in which one of the rappers got cooked by the audience after she failed to impress them, seemingly implying that Cardi B’s shots were less than impressive.

Cardi then took to Instagram Live to share her extended thoughts on the entire situation, revealing they’d previously hashed things out on the phone so the new static was a bit surprising, especially because she thought she made it very clear she was never copying her.

Still, Cardi jokingly encouraged fans to stream Bia’s music, saying that the rapper needed to recoup her publishing.

She also threatened to release their conversation.

The “I Like It” rapper concluded her rant emphatically, saying: “I don’t wanna dress like you, I don’t wanna look like you, I don’t wanna rap like you, I don’t listen to your music, I don’t know what the fuck you be doing, bitch…You not interesting to me.”

Bia responded to Cardi’s video with an Instagram Live of her own late Saturday night, during which she previewed a diss track aimed at Cardi. She upped the ante by lobbing cheating allegations and mentioning her children, Wave and Culture.
