Capone Free of Assault Charges

After being charged with second-degree assault following an incident in a New York nightclub, Capone, of the underrated rap duo Capone and Noreaga, was cleared of all charges recently. Judge Dorothy Chin-Brandt felt the evidence in the case the District Attorney held against Kiam Holley also known as Capone, was insufficient to continue with prosecution. The incident in question happened last September at Club Juan Pachanga in New York, when Capone got swept out into the street during an altercation that originated inside the club. Capone, Mesiah Watson and his cousin Marion Jefferson, got into his Mercedes Benz, which was immediately struck by a truck. Once all three gentlemen got out of the car shots were reportedly fired by police officers, ultimately hitting Marion in the back of his head.

Capone was immediately arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree assault although he was not found with a gun in his possession. “The police were in a difficult situation an arrested the wrong man”, said Robert Katlin, Capone’s lawyer. “We’re glad that we were finally cleared and exonerated of all the charges placed upon is because we’re black and we rap. And we will continue to be law abiding citizens”, Chris Lighty CEO of Violator Management, said in a statement to the press.

No word yet on when the next CNN album or Capone’s much talked about solo album will hit stores.
