Cam’ron and Ma$e have continued to tease an appearance from Stephen A. Smith on It Is What It Is in what’s shaping up to be the most anticipated episode of the sports talk show yet.
Killa Cam posted another clip from the episode featuring the outspoken ESPN personality on Thursday (June 8), this time showing him grilling Stephen A. over his break-up with former First Take co-host Skip Bayless.

“I did not want to work with him anymore, period,” Stephen A. bluntly stated. “I need somebody sitting across from me that I could trust.”
He continued later into the trailer speaking on the need for a change of scenery, although it’s unclear if this was about Bayless or his more recent First Take partner, Max Kellerman, who left the show in 2021.

“I thought that we had reached our limit,” Smith added. “I thought the show was stale and we needed a change. And he thought I was saying their show before I arrived was failing.”
Watch the teaser below:
Stephen A. Smith joined First Take with Bayless permanently in 2012 before Skip fled for Fox Sports’ UNDISPUTED in 2016.
Last year, Skip gave his side of the fallout on The Skip Bayless Show and admitted that while there were tough conversations, he and Smith ended up in a good place after hashing things out.
“I don’t trust easily because of the way I was raised, but I do trust Stephen Anthony Smith. Trust him with my life,” Bayless said. “Always have, always will. I trust he’ll always be there for me, and you better believe I will always be there for him.”
The Stephen A. Smith episode of It Is What It Is is expected to be released in the near future and fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival.
“N-gguh this is Academy Award Winning editing. Shit had me hyped,” one person wrote on Instagram, while another said: “Proud to have been a part of this from the BEGINNING damnit!!!”
