Cam’ron and Shakur Stevenson’s online spat has gone another round as the pair continue to trade jabs.
The feud erupted earlier this week after Cam and Ma$e criticized Stevenson’s world title defense against Artem Harutyunyan on an episode of their sports talk show It Is What It Is.
After a heated back-and-forth, Stevenson threatened to knock the Dipset rapper out, writing on X (formerly Twitter): “These n-ggas mad. Ya’ll bitch ass boys ain’t gon do shit bout it either. Cam’ron ever lift his hands up this way I’m putting him right out soft old ass n-ggas.”
Killa Cam hit back in a since-deleted Instagram post, saying: “First you told me to strap up, then you said put the gloves on. So I said what I said. Now you act like I threatened you?! Foh.
“Now u gonna knock me out? U can’t even knock n-ggas out that weigh 135 pounds. Anyway Shakur twitterson you won u ain’t sign to nobody right now, don’t nobody want to fight you cause you can’t sell tickets so got time I dig it.”
He added: “You fighting harder on Twitter than last Saturday.”
Cam’ron and Ma$e initially criticized Stevenson’s defensive style of fighting, which prompted the boxer to call them out on social media and challenge them to step into the ring.
The duo responded on It Is What It Is with a troll-worthy segment in which they looked bored and tired while watching Stevenson’s fight against Harutyunyan, eventually falling asleep inside their Las Vegas studio.
Cam then went on a lengthy rant against Stevenson, saying: “I see why they call you Shakur Twitterson. My n-gga, four hours of tweeting about me and Ma$e is wild. You boring, n-gga! I thought I was rather polite about it.
“This is the most entertainment we’ve seen out of you in the last two years! Congratulations, n-gga […] Your last two fights put a n-gga to sleep.”
He continued: “Shut the fuck up before a n-gga slap fire out you. You getting boxing and the streets confused, n-gga. Those are two different things, n-gga.
“‘Cause when a switchblade or something else [come out] — you talking about n-ggas better strap up. Why would you give n-ggas that heads up, you dumb muthafucka? Fuck outta here. You out your muthafucking mind.
Has Cam never seen Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight? If you understand boxing, it’s great to watch arguably the best pound for pound defensive fighter ever be a pure tactician. If you watch boxing for hard hits and knockouts, you’d think Floyd is boring as shit.
Floyd started out as Pretty Boy Floyd knocking folks OUT he got money and then got defensive so he wouldn’t be all loopy like a lot of old fighters. He didn’t come out the gate defensive bro.
You def don’t watch boxing. Floyd didn’t start as tactician. He was knocking out half the dudes he fought
He changed to more defensive style after de La Hoya fighy
Cam’s like 50 years old, and been drinking Hennessy and smokin blunts for 35 years. If he got hit with one gut punch he’d shart himself and go into kidney failure, let’s be serious here. Rappers talk like super heroes on their records and start believing it. Shakur, don’t waste your time with these thirsty click bait chasers. Be a champion and a role model.
Floyd changed his style because he kept breaking his hands, his uncle had issues with that too. But even when he got more defensive he was backing dudes up too
I’m getting so tired of so-called boxing fans going after Shakur Stevenson because he won a fight while exhibiting a brilliant defensive style and doing what boxes should do. Hit without being hit. Everyone is so thirsty for knockouts, and I myself will have to agree that knockouts are exciting, but when I see a fighter with that tremendous defensive style taking what the other fighter is giving them and winning decisively, I appreciate that, it’s beautiful and why it’s called the Sweet science.
