Cam’ron has taken another shot at his Dipset compatriots Jim Jones and Juelz Santana — this time accusing them of ruining boxer Gervonta Davis’ performance in his bout against Lamont Roach.
Jones and Santana walked Davis out to the ring at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Saturday (March 1). The fight ended in a rare majority draw, with one judge calling the fight for Davis while the other two scored it a tie.

One potentially deciding moment was when Davis took a knee in the ninth round, claiming afterwards that it was because hair grease got in his eye. The referee did not call the move a knockdown, thus keeping Davis from losing a point and potentially deciding the extremely close bout. The undefeated Davis was a heavy favorite in the fight.
On the Monday (March 3) episode of his and Ma$e’s sports talk show It Is What It Is, Cam’ron addressed the role he believed the Dipset rappers had in Davis’ draw.

He began by saying that Ma$e has historically been against boxers or sports teams bringing out celebrities with them at big contests, because the performers’ energy can bring the athletes down. Cam said he used to be skeptical of his co-host’s position, but he “got it” after seeing Saturday’s fight — and he blamed Jim and Juelz for giving Davis “bad energy.”
“When you got that type of energy, and you breathing that energy, when everybody’s sad and mad and depressed and trying to look happy, but they’re not really happy, it gets in you,” he explained. “You have to keep sage in that environment. When you’re in that environment, it lingers into the fight, and that’s kind of the result of the fight.

“The people you’re with could possibly fuck your energy up for some shit that you’re supposed to do. You can’t come out with that energy, man. It’s bad energy, man. … Nobody’s happy over there. … Tank, get out of there. Nasty work, man.”

Cam’s insults of Jim and Juelz over a boxing match is appropriate, given that Jim Jones just offered to fight Cam in the squared circle.
The Dipset rapper appeared on The Breakfast Club on Thursday (February 27) where he was asked about his recently rekindled feud with Killa Cam.

While Capo largely downplayed the drama with his former groupmate, who he referred to as his “brother” for life, there was one comment in particular that got under his skin.
“You don’t get no credit for [jumpstarting careers]. They say all Jim do is send people to jail,” Charlamagne Tha God said, referencing Cam’ron’s recent taunt on his sports talk show It Is What It Is.
“How I send people to jail? How?! What are these n-ggas smoking? They smoking new drugs out here!” Jones shot back.
When Charlamagne clarified that the claim was made by Cam, the “We Fly High” hitmaker grew heated and challenged his former Diplomat pal to a fight — for the right price, of course.

“He’s a birdhead. He don’t want no smoke. I’ll box his head off. Where’s the ring at?” he said. “You getting money, right? Ten million right now. Today, n-gga. I’ll catch a flight wherever you at. You with Mayweather and ’em. Ten million. I’ll meet you in any boxing ring.”
He added: “Now go make some jokes about that on your next show. I’ll box your head off. You know that. Don’t play with me. Now go type about that.”
