Cam’ron has responded to Terror Squad rapper Cuban Link accusing him and Ma$e of stealing their song “Horse & Carriage” from him.

In a recent episode of his YouTube show, the Cuba-born rapper explained that he once put together a song that interpolated an Eddie Murphy comedy routine in the presence of Ma$e and sang him the hook.

He then said: “That was supposed to be my single […] The next thing I see is fucking ‘Horse & Carriage’ with Ma$e, Cam and fucking Pun,” which used the same reference as the hook (which originates from Desi Arnaz & His Orchestra’s 1948 song “Cuban Cabby”).

Killa Cam addressed the claims on his own YouTube series Talk With Flee, admitting that neither he nor Ma$e directly stole the song but Cuban Link “may have a case.”

“I have no idea what Cuban Link is talking about as far as Ma$e overhearing his hook and Ma$e stealing the hook,” he said. “This is what I will tell Cuban Link, though: if you sang your hook in front of Lance ‘Un’ Rivera, then you may have a case ’cause Un came up with that hook.

“‘Un’ Rivera is the one who came up saying he wanted to sing the Ricky Ricardo hook. If you ever sang that hook in front of Lance ‘Un’ Rivera, you may have an argument. But Ma$e didn’t come up with that hook.”

Rivera directed the video for “Horse & Carriage,” which was Cam’ron’s breakout hit and lead single from his debut album Confessions of Fire.

Rivera also signed the Harlem rapper to his first deal with Untertainment Records/Epic Records in the late ’90s.

Elsewhere during the same Talk With Flee episode, Cam’ron revealed that he once got into a fight with comedian Katt Williams.

He explained that the violence broke out at one of Williams’ stand-up shows in Philadelphia, where the mood was initially positive as the comic gifted Cam $30,000, as well as luxury vehicles to Beanie Sigel and Lil Mo.

“As the night goes on, he’s flipping,” the Dipset legend recalled. “Katt comes over to me and — I’m not naming no names, let’s just call him ‘Dipset X’ — he says, ‘Yo Cam, I think Dipset X farted on me.’ I’m like, ‘Farted on you? I don’t know if he farted on you.’

“He said, ‘Yeah, the n-gga farted on me! I usually tag n-ggas behind shit like that.’ […] I see Katt walk around the room asking n-ggas, ‘Did you fart?’ Everybody said no, so Katt punches Dipset X in the face, dumb hard.”

That’s when Cam and Katt began brawling.

“Off instinct, I grab Katt, flip him upside down and slam him. And then as I’m about to kick him, I snap out of it,” he continued. “It was just a reflex; Dipset X is my man.

“Katt had like a hundred FOIs [Fruit of Islam] come in. We in a room that’s smaller than somebody’s living room. Now the FOIs are in the middle of us and Katt says, ‘Fuck you and fuck Dipset! All of y’all get the fuck out!’”

According to Killa, that was the last time he and Katt crossed paths.
