Recorded in Las Vegas, New York and Los Angeles, the album is described as “a crystallized, contemporary take on the Dipset sound we know and love,” with Dame Dash also making an appearance for some “trash-talking and philosophizing.”

The first single “All I Really Wanted” was released on Friday (September 2).

Cam’ron and A-Trak previously announced a joint EP called Federal Reserve in 2014, but the project never saw the light of day. The single released during that time, “Dipshits,” is set to appear on U Wasn’t There as a bonus track.

During an interview with Complex in 2014, A-Trak explained what his goal was for the original project they had planned.

One thing that’s important to say is this isn’t a throwback project. To me, Cam is forever relevant. People want to hear this now.”

He added: “With the world that I’m in through Fool’s Gold, we’re very much plugged into the generation where all these scenes interact. Cam with Dipset was one of the first ones.
