Cali Agents’ Rasco Returns With “Global Threat” Solo

Early ’00s underground Hip Hop fans remember Rasco. Along with Planet Asia, the Cali Agents member was instrumental in the Northern California Hip Hop movement, as well as releasing one of Stones Throw Records’ first Rap releases in Time Waits For No Man.

After his last solo album, 2003’s The Dick Swanson Theory, as well as sophomore Cali Agents release, Head Of State, the Soulfather emcee is soon to release his return, Global Threat. The album, Rasco’s sixth, features a guest appearance from fellow late ’90s underground Hip Hop alumni Royce Da 5’9″ as well as Planet Asia and Kam Moye (a/k/a Supastition).

Details from Global Threat are still being released, but the album features two conceptual tracks. “Eyes Wide Open” is a song about a dream of the emcee reuniting with deceased loved ones, while “Who’s The Enemy” joins Royce in trying to determine a mole within one’s circle.

HipHopDX will keep you updated. Global Threat is expected for spring release.
