Busta Rhymes is on the same page as Method Man when it comes to his stance on Diddy‘s legal situation.
The Brooklyn rap legend spoke about the sex charges and mounting lawsuits against the embattled mogul while on the red carpet at the Venom: The Last Dance premiere in New York City, and made it a point to separate Diddy’s alleged crimes from Hip Hop culture as a whole.

When asked about the “reckoning in Hip Hop,” Busta replied: “I think we need to stop doing a ‘Hip Hop’ scene. His situation is not a Hip Hop situation.”
The “Gimme Some More” MC also urged the public to not rush to condemn the Bad Boy boss before his trial has even begun.

“I also would like everyone to be mindful of the thirst and the urgency and the need to speak on the situation,” he added. “A lot of times, people don’t realize how insensitive it could be to have opinions on things that you have no understanding of outside of what you’re being told.
“We know that propaganda is a real thing, and we know that truth is a real thing. I’d like to wait for the truth before I really start to dive into trying to understand it. Understanding is the absence of confusion. Understanding is the reflection of knowledge and wisdom. The truth is undisputed.”

He continued: “We kind of confuse ourselves, prematurely pass judgement, and we’re not realizing how much we can directly and indirectly affect everyone involved with our unwarranted opinions. With that being said, I’m gonna reserve my opinions and I’m gonna wish the best for everyone involved.
“Everyone need to probably mind they damn business until the truth is undisputed. At that point, justice needs to be served accordingly for everyone involved. It’s unfortunate because I wouldn’t wish this upon my worst enemy. And I’m talking about the victims and I’m talking about for Diddy.”
Method Man made a similar point in an interview with TMZ last month, arguing that the allegations against Diddy have “nothing to do with Hip Hop.”
“I don’t think that it has anything to do with Hip Hop. What are we talking about here, really?” the Wu-Tang Clan icon said. “It has nothing to do with Hip Hop. I don’t see the correlation whatsoever.
“If we’re talking about creative and music and stuff like that, there are people still listening to R. Kelly‘s shit. I don’t think it has anything to do with Hip Hop.”
While Puffy remains in jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges for allegedly abusing women for several years, Busta Rhymes is gearing up to release new music.

Earlier this week, the Flipmode Squad frontman announced that his 12th studio album will arrive on November 29.
Alongside an album artwork teaser which featured Busta’s logo and the eyes of a dragon, he wrote: “THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP SO WE WON’T EVER STOP, EVER!! NEW ALBUM LOADING BY THE DRAGON DROPPING 11.29.24!! JESUS CHRIST!!”
