Brother Ali Releases 1st Album In 5 Years: “All The Beauty In This Whole Life”

After five years since his latest full-length project, Brother Ali has released his All the Beauty in This Whole Life  album.

The project is made up of 15 tracks and includes features from deM atlaS, Amir Sulaiman, Sa-Roc and Idris Philips. The lead single for All the Beauty in This Whole Life is “Own Light (What Hearts Are For).”

Speaking with Billboard, the career Rhymesayers MC explained his vision for the album, and how he’s addressing politics in a different way than on 2012’s Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color.

“Now, more people are turning to politics and paying attention to what the administration is doing,” he shared. “So many helpful things are being said about that, but my new album is about looking inward. I’m happy that this is what I’m offering the world in this moment … It’s not like there’s less of a focus on outward justice, but the reality is that the first and most important battlefield for fighting for justice is our heart.”

    1. Welcome back Ali! Going to download now and will con5e back with my thoughts. I just hope its nothing like Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color cause it was hands down his worst album. I tried listening to it a handful of times and not a single song was worth replay. Which I beleive was a direct result of Ant from Atmosphere not producing any of the tracks. Not sure if Ants on this new album but fingers crossed he has at least a few tracks from him.

      1. Nothing worse that complexion of your skin or religion is worth an argument in Hip Hop-Culture a.g. !

      2. lol, i second that. at least you don’t hear much from him, he could be all over twitter and youtube making an ass out of himself

      3. Wishes he was black? You are hallucinating, you watch too much MTV,BET. Literally nobody wants to be black in America. Blacks in America are a lost cause, the whole world is laughing at you

    2. Ant is the only producer on this album!
Why come you guys don’t already know that?
C’mon…..”Mourning in america” wasn’t that bad.

    3. This fantastic MC is neither white or black….he is Albino. I wouldn’t give two shits if the guy was purple….he’s dope.

      1. He’s a white albino fucktard. There are black albinos too genius. Albinism is a skin disorder, it doesn’t change what you came from.

    4. I fucks with Brother Ali.
Idk tho his new album was kinda whatevers.
      Was kinda disappointed.
