Brandy has kicked off the holiday season early with her first-ever original Christmas song, “Christmas Party for Two” — check it out below.
The lead single off her Christmas With Brandy album, which is set to drop on November 10 on Motown Records, gets fans into the full Yuletide spirit with a little bit of a sexy twist.
“You need someone to make you feel the way that I do/ Help me undress, oh yes/ I’ll be your present, just give me your presence — that’s all that I’m asking of you,” she sings on the track.
Brandy is also set to perform at the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on November 23, and she’ll be starring in Best. Christmas. Ever! opposite Heather Graham, which is set to land on Netflix on November 16.
The singer and actor first announced the Christmas With Brandy album on Instagram late last month.
“For all my beautiful fans, my new album ‘Christmas With Brandy’ comes our November 10,” she said. “I feel so blessed to be able to create an album surrounding joy, Family, love and quality divine time with the ones you love.”
The 11-track album — which can be pre-ordered here — will feature holiday favorites, including “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” and “Deck The Halls.” It will also contain original songs, including “Feels Different” and “Somebody’s Waiting.”
On top of all that, B Rocka and her daughter Sy’Rai will duet on a track called “Christmas Gift.”
In other non-Christmas related Brandy news, she was recently named as one of the honorees of this year’s Give Her FlowHERS gala, presented by Femme It Forward.
Brandy was given the Muse award for her “legacy, impact, and timeless music inspires past, current, and future generations” on Thursday (November 2).
“After experiencing the powerful joy, inspiration, and genuine love of our inaugural event, we’re thrilled to bring together more trailblazing women and honor their impact at the 2nd annual Give Her FlowHERS Awards Gala,” Heather Lowery, CEO and founder of Femme It Forward, said in a statement. “This awards gala goes beyond giving the extraordinary women who have impacted culture their flowers, as we look to plant more seeds of change for the future.”
