Preparing for his first big screen movie debut after having a small role in Ice Cube’s hit flick “All About the Benjamin’s”, Bow Wow has decided to remake a classic rap song for the movie soundtrack. A classic Kurtis Blow track, “Basketball” will be the lead song for Bow Wow’s movie “ Like Mike”. Bow Wow plans to have Fabolous and Jermaine Dupri featured on the song with him. “We’re moving from the ’70s to the ’80s to the ’90s to 2002,” Bow Wow said of the video’s concept that he is filming with director Chris Robinson in LA. “Basketball” will also show Bow Wow playing ball with several known basketball players.
“You’re going to see me in the M.J. shorts real tight with the socks up to the knees.” The movie “Like Mike” will feature Bow Wow as a orphan who stumbles upon a pair of basketball sneakers possibly owned by Micheal Jordan, and finds himself playing in the NBA. “Like Mike” is scheduled to hit theatre’s July 10 and the soundtrack will be available to fans July 2.
