Boosie Badazz has spoken about Webbie’s viral crop top tribute to the late Pimp C, and admitted the photo made him upset.
Boosie’s former rhyme partner took to Instagram last month to share a picture of himself in a pair of black jeans, white sneakers and a black fur coat with matching hat. He also donned what appeared to be a shortened tank top, paying homage to Pimp C’s unique fashion sense.

The UGK rapper passed away from an accidental overdose in 2008, and while Webbie displayed his stomach and “Savage Life” tattoo, it was his tank top that got the internet talking, and commenters began roasting Webbie on Instagram as a result.
“Players fuck up. Players fuck up all the time,” Boosie said in an interview VladTV while reacting to Webbie’s outfit. “I was pissed … He was showing his tattoo, bruh! … They got my dog bad. He was showing his tattoo, man.”

He continued: “We don’t play that ho shit. Boosie and Webbie ain’t known for no ho shit. We don’t play all that new generation shit … I had to turn my phone off. I was pissed off. He slipped.”
Boosie continued to defend Webbie by pointing out that he frequently shows his stomach tattoos at shows and has seen him “fuck bad bitches,” so his masculinity shouldn’t be questioned.
Despite being longtime collaborators, Boosie Badazz and Webbie reportedly haven’t seen eye to eye for a few years now. In an interview with The Shade Room in 2020, Webbie’s manager Derrick addressed Boosie’s rant about Webbie on Instagram and explained that their disagreements would never rise to the level of beef.
“Webbie don’t really give a fuck,” he said. “N-ggas get in their feelings and take shit out of proportion. Boosie and Webbie, they gon’ always be. It’s like peanut butter and jelly. Boosie went to jail and Webbie was out here workin’.

“Webbie’s loyalty will always be Trill Entertainment. That’s what Webbie was talkin’ about. He’s a big person on loyalty. That’s all I know, and the legacy is what he’s talking about. It ain’t about no money. He’s been making money for years. It’s about the legacy.”
While Webbie has yet to comment on his much-discussed crop top, he did respond to the viral ridicule in an Instagram video.

“Why don’t y’all repost, double post shit when I tell the kids to stay in schooling you can be whatever you wanna be? You know, the positive things about life,” he said.
“You know what I’m talking about? Because that’s what I represent, Savage Life, ’cause I been through it all. You heard me? Shout out to all my dogs, all my homegirls,” he added, before telling people to quit playing with him.
In other news, Boosie celebrated being cancer-free earlier this week, taking to Instagram to share his relief after he was diagnosed with kidney cancer back in 2015.
However, he also revealed that the doctor who had been handling his treatment passed away last year.
