Boosie Badazz was very excited to attend the BET Awards this year — however, he seemed to get a bit overzealous during Latto‘s set and ended up taking a tumble.

Premiering on Sunday (June 25), the 2023 BET Awards was packed with the who’s who in Hip Hop and entertainment. But one person, in particular, seemed to attract quite a bit of attention: Boosie.

The Baton Rogue rapper spent much of the night getting turnt and, at one point, he even offered fans a hilarious performance of “Wipe Me Down” from the comfort of his seat. But when Latto hit the stage, he turned it up a notch.

Unfortunately, the “Set It Off” rapper ended up falling while standing up in his chair as the “Put It On Da Floor” hitmaker rocked the stage.

It’s understandable why Boosie is overjoyed these days. The rapper was recently released on bond after spending a little over a week in jail for multiple gun charges.

Boosie Badazz (real name Torrence Hatch Jr.) was nabbed by the feds while exiting a courtroom in San Diego, CA. He had just had a separate gun case dismissed by a judge, but the victory was short-lived, as he was arrested as soon as he stepped out of the building.

It was later revealed that Boosie was being held on multiple gun charges, including “felony possession of a firearm and transporting firearms across highways.”

According to federal court documents, which were obtained by TMZ last week, the rapper earned himself an indictment thanks to some ill-advised Instagram Live posts.

In the posts, Boosie Badazz can be seen tucking a gun into the waistband of his jeans. The posts, which were originally made last month, were essentially what got Boosie in trouble, as Federal law prohibits convicted felons from carrying and/or owning guns.

On the music front, Boosie decided to celebrate his recent release with some new music, with his latest project aptly titled First Day Out.
