Boosie Badazz has tapped into his inner basketball head coach after the Louisiana State University women’s basketball team won their first NCAA national championship.

On Sunday (April 2), the Baton Rouge star uploaded a video on Instagram of him cutting down the basketball nets on his home court after the LSU Tigers beat the Iowa Hawkeyes 102-85 to capture the title. LSU star Angel Reese helped secure the win with 15 points while Iowa juggernaut Caitlin Clark recorded 22 points in her team’s loss.

While celebrating the win, Boosie also referred to LSU player Jasmine Carson as “LSU Ice Spice” because of her bright colored hair and trolled Clark, who’s known for her smooth jump shot, by referring to her as Larry Bird’s daughter.

“They dead, they dead, they dead!” he repeated while rocking an Odell Beckham Jr. LSU football jersey. “Larry Bird, come get ya daughter. Larry Bird, come get ya daughter. They dead. Larry Bird, come get ya damn daughter!”

After LSU’s win, the team could be seeing rapping along to Boosie’s 2006 cult-classic track “Set It Off,” from his album Bad Azz, inside their locker room.

Boosie Badazz is an avid sports fan who can be seen courtside at many sports events. He most recently blasted Skip Bayless for insinuating that Ja Morant might be associated with the Crips following his leave of absence from the Memphis Grizzlies.

“STOP @RealSkipBayless Don’t build the narrative that he’s a real gang member SMH HE NOT NO CRIP HE A PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL PLAYER who made a mistake,” Boosie pleaded with the outspoken sports personality in a tweet last month.

Bayless made the controversial suggestion about Morant’s gang ties during a recent episode of UNDISPUTED on FS1.

“They’re asking me, ‘Are you sure he’s not that?’ Like, that’s just who he is, that he is about that life.’ And remember, he’s thrown up the Crips sign, I’ve seen him throw it up two or three times, I’ve probably missed some other times,” Skip said.

“What does that mean? Does that mean he wants to associate with the Crips? Or he got initiated by the Crips? Or he has a dream of being a Crip? I don’t know. I’m just throwing this out.

“Are we missing the boat here that that’s just who he’s been from the start? And we keep saying, ‘No, you’re just associated with the wrong people,’ when he’s actually part of the wrong people.”
