Blind Rapper Supervision to Drop Debut Aug 28

There’s nothing unusual about the fact that LA rapper Supervision is dropping his debut LP on August 28.
There’s nothing unusual about the fact that the album, called Supervision Presents 20/20, features Ja Rule and Bone Thugs N Harmony.
There’s nothing unusual about the fact that he’s on tour right now with Mystikal and Ginuwine either.

The only thing unusual about this up-and-coming emcee is that he’s blind.

Supervision is out to teach the world that being physically blind is nowhere near as big a handicap as being like “these mentally and socially blind fools.” He sends love and respect to women, something that is rare in today’s Ross Meyer-esque hip-hop world, and has even dedicated his lead single Superstar to them.

Supervision was hit in the eye with a broken bottle at the age of six, and a subsequent infection cost him his sight. But that didn’t stop him on his quest for emcee glory. One of his stops on the path to fame included an appearance in a battle featuring Eminem at the 97 Rap Olympics.

This rapper will not be stopped by his blindness. “I’m a universal emcee who happens to be sightless, but I have infinite mental vision,” he says.
