Bishop Lamont Addresses Rumors Of New Dr. Dre Music

With news of Dr. Dre’s possible return to music popping up every few months, former Aftermath rapper Bishop Lamont recently spoke with HipHopDX about the rumors and why he thinks the famed producer is the only one who should fan the flames for his future prospects.

“It’s so crazy when people always try to speak on another person,” Lamont said in a clip that debuted as a part of today’s DX Daily. “It’s kind of corny to me. It’s like, ‘Let that man speak for himself.’ So, a better way to redirect that question, ‘cause everybody else wanna speak on shit, if that nigga ain’t talking about it why the fuck you talking about it? Let that nigga fan his own flames for the shit he doing.”

In 2010, after half a decade at Aftermath, Bishop Lamont announced his departure from the label.

“Dre is still my big bro, but after five years of just sitting there, it is kind of unfair to the fans and my family and myself that the release date has changed when all these people are waiting,” he said at the time.

Lamont recently released his single “Get ‘Em” which features DJ Quik’s son David Blake Jr.

    1. Em, Dre, and every other artist in the Aftermath circle fanned the flames you fuck ass nigga. Mad cause nobody gives a fuck about anything YOU are doing.

    2. Funny, because the only thing I remember about his time being signed to Dr.Dre, were the conversations he had with AllHipHop ABOUT Dr.Dre. Seriously, Google it, he was talking with that website every 6 months in detail about what Dre was doing on some bullshit as always. Not surprising when he shut up after getting dropped.

    3. All jokes aside, if this website or any other source seeks to become and remain credible, please stop reporting on Dr. Dre. This man makes releasing music equal to the greatest challenge on earth. Let the man do as he plans to do and stop acting like the world awaits his next move.

    4. Man, I’d forgotten about Bishop Lamont! His confessional mixtape was way better than a lot of rapper’s studio albums, I need to listen to that again!
