Killah B, who wrote and produced on one of the singles “Texas Hold ‘Em,” spoke to TMZ about the much-anticipated project.
Asked by the presenters about a potential collaboration with a country artist that is clearly Swift, the producer replied: “You gonna have to wait and see,” before adding: “Let’s just say she is on the approach of shocking the world. I’ll let your imagination decide what that means.”
Beyoncé did indeed shock the world on Sunday night (February 12) when she announced her new album through a Super Bowl commercial for Verizon.
The commercial, which followed Bey’s increasingly ambitious attempts to “break the internet,” ended with her saying: “Okay, they ready, drop the new music.”

Soon after the ad aired, the former Destiny’s Child star released a Texas-themed trailer for Renaissance Act II, revealing a release date of March 29.
She also released the first two singles from the project, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” with the artwork for the songs continuing the silver theme she started with the first Renaissance album — but with a country twist.
Beyoncé’s pivot to country hasn’t been without its detractors.
Oklahoma-based radio station KYKC initially refused to play her new tracks before an online backlash in which some called the move “racist.”

The station later added the songs to their rotation and issued a statement to The Shade Room.
“I think we issued just a generic reply when we should have been more detailed,” it read in part. “If someone emailed our country station and requested a Rolling Stones song we would have probably replied the same. Beyoncé is known for NOT being a country artist, so we just replied to that effect.
