Beyoncé has one of the most loyal fanbases on the planet, but that hasn’t stopped her from suffering a bit of a slump at the box office with her Renaissance concert film.

Per Deadline, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé saw a 77 percent dip in its second week at the domestic box office, bringing in a humble $5 million.

The movie was the highest-grossing film in its first week of release, pulling in $21 million — marking the first time a film had opened with over $20 million on a post-Thanksgiving weekend in 20 years.

But in its second week, Renaissance slid to No. 6 after being eclipsed by the likes of Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron ($12.8 million), The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes ($9.4 million) and Godzilla Minus One ($8.3 million).

Despite its box office drop-off, the film’s premiere was met with major support from some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Kelly Rowland, Lupita Nyong’o, Janelle Monáe, Snoh Aalegra, Issa Rae and many more.

The star-studded event went down at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills, California in late November. However, it wasn’t the impressive list of attendees but Beyoncé’s appearance that grabbed fans’ attention after it was claimed that she was trying to look like a white woman.

Bey’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, wasn’t having it, though, and unleashed a lengthy Instagram post aimed at her daughter’s critics.

“Came across this today and decided to post it after seeing all of the stupid ignorant self, hating racist statements about her, lightening her skin, and wearing platinum hair wanting to be white,” she wrote next to a video montage of the disparaging comments.

“She does a film, called the renaissance, where the whole theme is silver with silver hair, a silver carpet, and suggested silver attire and you bozos decide that she’s trying to be a white woman and is bleaching her skin?”

She added: “How sad is it that some of her own people continue the stupid narrative with hate and jealousy. Duh, she wore silver hair to match her silver dress as a fashion statement clown.

“Every time she does something that she works her ass off for and is a statement of her work ethic, talent and resilience. Here you sad little haters come out the woodwork. Jealousy and racism, sexism, double standards, you perpetuate those things. Instead of celebrating a sister or just ignoring if you don’t like her, I am sick of you losers.”
