Beyoncé has returned to shouting out Lizzo on her “Break My Soul (Queens Mix)” amid the “Truth Hurts” singer’s legal turmoil.
Queen Bey hit the stage at the FedExField in Washington, D.C. on Saturday night (August 5) as part of her Renaissance Tour, where she made the Lizzo name-drop loud and clear while curiously omitting Erykah Badu’s name from the track.

Rocking a glistening outfit paired with gold fur, Beyoncé skipped over Badu and went from her sister Solange to Lizzo in the lyrics, singing: “Lizzo, Kelly Rowl’ (You know you can do it)/ Lauryn Hill, Roberta Flack, Toni, Janet, Tierra Whack.”

Beyoncé’s lyrics are a reversal of last week’s performance in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where she declined to namedrop Lizzo and instead said Badu’s surname multiple times.
The concert came hours after news broke that the former was sued by three former dancers over allegations of sexual harassment, fat-shaming and creating a hostile working environment.

Lizzo fired back days later, dismissing the claims as “false” and “sensationalized.”
“Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed,” she wrote on Instagram.

“These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”
Beyoncé’s Massachusetts tour stop also came shortly after Erykah Badu called her out for biting her style, accusing her of copying her signature headwear with a hat she wore on stage.
The “On & On” songstress took to her Instagram Stories to post comparison photos between herself and Bey’s looks, while writing: “Hmm. I guess I’m everyone’s stylist. My favorite chrome mirror hat.”
The intention behind Beyoncé repeatedly namedropping — and then snubbing — Badu on the “Break My Soul” remix is unclear, as is her apparent change of mind with Lizzo’s shoutout.

While some interpreted the omission as Beyoncé distancing herself from the plus-size star, Bey’s mother Tina Knowles shut down that notion on social media last week.
“She also didn’t say her own sisters name yal should really stop,” Knowles wrote in a comment under The Jasmine Brand‘s post.
