Beyoncé‘s new country-leaning tracks have not only brought her success, but have also driven streams to other Black female artists in the genre.
According to a Billboard story from Thursday (February 22), the singer’s country songs – “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” – have sparked significant interest in other deserving Black women who have already forayed into Country music.

Tanner Adell’s catalog received an increase of 188% in the streams from February 9-12 (230,000 official on-demand streams) to February 16-19 (670,000 streams), while Reyna Roberts had an increase of 250% during the period from February 16-19.
Other artists affected by the boost include K. Michelle and Linda Martell, the first black woman to play at the Grand Ole Opry.

Some fans were critical of the attribution, while others admitted that they only checked out these artists because of Bey.
One skeptic wrote: “They are doing too much with this. Honestly some of the top selling artists in country music are black. They really need to stop. The girl songs are not even that good.”

A Beyoncé devotee retorted: “Say what you want but I listened to all these Artist’s in the last week, and yes I like them for their own talent but I was only exposed to them because of Beyonce! Yall ain’t gotta be haters ya whole life, you know that right lol [shrugging man emoji].”
Another fan added: “If you’ve been listening to these artist before Beyoncé dropped them this post isn’t about you. Their are millions of other ppl who never heard of them…… STOP discrediting the power of BEYONCÉ. Y’all hate to give that lady her just dues and it’s ALWAYS your own ppl!!!!”
Beyoncé’s shift to country earned praise from Dolly Parton, who celebrated Bey for the milestones she’s reached with her latest singles.
The country legend revealed her love for Queen B on Instagram, writing: “I’m a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she’s done a country album. So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can’t wait to hear the full album. Love, Dolly Parton.”
