Benzino Rehashes Eminem ‘Racism’ Controversy With N-Word Montage

Benzino has again called Eminem “racist” and shared a montage of the legendary rapper allegedly using the N-word.

Posting on Instagram on Thursday (March 14), the former editor of The Source magazine said: “Throughout history you always had some black people who will constantly make excuses for racist white people. There will always be someone of color who thinks this is ok and it’s sad.”

Alongside the caption was a video reel of live performances and old records of Eminem allegedly using the racial slur — though it should be noted that some of the clips do not actually show him saying the N-word.

Eminem has yet to respond to the accusations.

Benzino, during his tenure at The Source, accused Eminem of being racist in 2003 when he and magazine founder Dave Mays obtained an early tape of the rapper’s from the early ’90s.

One track heard him allegedly using the N-word: “All the girls I like to bone have big butts/ No they don’t, ’cause I don’t like that n-gga shit/ I’m just here to make a bigger hit.”

Another freestyle, said to be recorded in 1988, included shots at an ex-girlfriend who was Black: “Blacks and whites, they sometimes mix/ But black girls only want your money ’cause they dumb chicks.”

Eminem acknowledged that he made the latter song and apologized, admitting he was an “angry” and stupid” teenager.

“Ray Benzino, Dave Mays and The Source have had a vendetta against me, Shady Records and our artists for a long time,” he said. “The tape they played today was something I made out of anger, stupidity and frustration when I was a teenager.

“I’d just broken up with my girlfriend, who was African-American, and I reacted like the angry, stupid kid I was. I hope people will take it for the foolishness that it was, not for what somebody is trying to make it into today.”

Eminem’s manager, Paul Rosenberg, added that neither he nor Eminem had heard of the other track that included the N-word.

Em later addressed the controversy on his 2004 track “Yellow Brick Road.”

Eminem and Benzino’s long-standing feud recently reignited after the Detroit MC dropped “Doomsday Pt. 2” which featured numerous shots at the reality TV personality.

Benzino has since fired back with two diss tracks — “Vulturius” and “Rap Elvis” — and made numerous negative comments about him.

The beef took a bizarre turn last month when Benzino appeared on Drink Champs and began crying when discussing their beef.

“I don’t hate Eminem. I don’t know him to hate him. I don’t hate white people tired of this shit, man. It’s just too much. I don’t want to be the bad guy,” he said while emotional and intoxicated.

“Eminem ain’t no bad person. He belongs in Hip Hop. It’s a big racist problem in America right now and Eminem could probably stop half of it.”

Since that podcast appearance, however, Benzino has gone back to dissing Eminem.

    1. And don’t forget Eminem mispronounced the country named Niger on a geography class in 1983. It’s a fact. I was there. He is worse than Hit Ler mixed with Lil Bow Wow.

    2. All these 50 year old rappers throwing twitter shots at each other and making corny diss songs looks sad and pathetic. Like they’re just desperate for the attention that they had in their hey day. and will do anything to cling to relevance.

    3. He was 16 years old, the man is now 51 years old. Obviously it was wrong and idiotic which is why he apologised when it came to light, both in song and during a press conference. Benzino is 58 years old and still pulling race cards out of his arse like it earns him commission.

      1. Faullt agreed. We need to have different rules and regulations based on skin color, hands down. Idc about “freedom”. White people and black people can not be able to say the same words in an acceptable society. We have to have different rules and regulations. It’s the only way to save freedom! We can only unite so long as we seperate and treat each other differently for eternity! Am I right, or am I right?

    4. All one has to do is to go onto YouTube and type “benzino racist tirade against Asians” and you’ll see who the actual racist is. Once again, his lack of self awareness is amazing

      1. It’s actually funny you say that, because as a white guy who hasn’t liked any Em music since… 2008 or earlier, the only person I know with Em merch is black. Definitely probably true Em fan base is mostly white. But I think its more of a personality thing than a racial thing. Em to me is very cringy nowadays. So is most modern hiphop though, but I’m more of a Masta Ace type myself. Old-school, quality, cleanish, true gangster rap that doesn’t glorify negativity, but shows harsh realities and praises the good in life.

    5. “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.” This dwarf is well known for his hatred of asians and white people. And i can’t stand weak motherfuckers who, when beefing with someone, have to resort to trying to get other people on their side. Again i think it shows major weakness and vindictiveness. But doing all this while proclaiming to be the winner and acting like his behavior is “lily white”. And his next move…..?

    6. Lol, most of it is him rapping along with his friends on stage with his friends. One of them is him performing a verse he wrote for Dre with Dre. People act like saying the word makes you racist. What a clown.

    7. Benzino is not even black himself, he’s a Puerto Rican. Someone should tell him HE doesn’t have a pass either. Or better yet stomp his dumb @ss for using it. RACIST CLOWN.
