Belly Says His Next 3 Albums Will Be His Last

Belly has opened up about his retirement plans with his next three albums serving as the final installments of his career.

The Palestinian-Canadian rapper revealed last week that while he’s hard at work finishing up Mumble Rap 2, that will flip the hour-glass heading toward Belly eventually hanging up his mic for good following the release of another pair of projects.

The XO rhymer also admitted that the grind of the music industry had been starting take its toll on him.

“I love yall with all my heart, sincerely, but this industry has taken it’s toll on me,” he wrote. “MR2 will be the first of my last three albums ever. Mini tour for MR2 then a farewell tour after my next 2.”

Belly has released three studio albums under the XO/Roc Nation partnership with the most recent arriving in 2021 with See You Next Wednesday.

Look for Belly to hit the road for a tour following MR2‘s release. He previously teased a snippet from the LP earlier this month and in January said the project was coming “sooner than later.” It’s unclear what the next two projects will entail from a creative standpoint.

Belly even paid Charlie Sloth a visit for his Fire in the Booth freestyle debut, which was released via Apple Music on Thursday (February 23).

“She get a million like, but nobody like the bitch in real life/We still remember what that ass feel like, chill right/I’m Biggie and Puff combined at least that’s what I feel like/They said Belly used to shoot, I say I still might/I remember what being broke smelled like,” he raps.

Belly didn’t release any music in 2022 so the fiery bars were a welcome sight for fans as Tay Keith, MadeinTYO, Jason Mitchell and more showed him love.

    1. 3 is too much, but if your word is bond, I’ll accept the trash to help you carry it out. Now if only Nav can follow pursuit, preferably with just one EP and then we good.

      1. One bar on somebody else’s song so we don’t have to see or hear from him ever again and that’ll make the world happy cuz Nav ( Drake and DJ Khaled’s butt baby) sucks ass as an entertainer.

    2. Why is it like people sit around and wait for comment sections to open up so they can spill their sad, miserable lives out into words for everyone to read? I’m so confused how you’re gonna take time to comment about an album or genre you don’t care about. Wtf are u so mad about? The album was good. Very good. And if it ain’t your thing, cool, but why you commenting about it if you didn’t even listen to it or like hip hop/rap music?
