“Beats, Rhymes & Life” Documentary Wins Audience Award At L.A. Film Festival

    Michael Rapaport’s documentary on A Tribe Called Quest, titled Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest, was awarded the prestigious Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature at the L.A. Film Festival.

    Rapaport shared his excitement upon hearing the good news.

    The film originally resulted in Q-Tip denouncing its release, though the group recently voiced its support for the release. Ali Shaheed Muhammad explained, “I’m representing Q-Tip. We’re happy with the finished version. If none of us were fine with this, no one would be seeing the film.”
