“After extensive discussions, we have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel Bamboozle 2023. An incredible amount of time, dedication, passion and hard work was invested into making this comeback a success. We appreciate everyone who supported this festival. Refunds should be requested at point of purchase,” the statement said.
Other acts who were set to perform included Joey Bada$$, Babytron, Trippie Redd, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, to name a few.
Patrons who were looking to enjoy themselves at the festival took to social media to voice their frustration about the cancellation.
One Twitter user said: “Bamboozle Festival off? The Bamboozle Instagram has deleted all their posts and unfollowed everyone… their twitter account has also been deleted. The festival was supposed to be next weekend however as of a little bit ago you can’t buy tickets on Ticketmaster.”

“I know everyone is clowning on them (no pun intended) right now but it does stink not seeing Bamboozle actually come back,” another Twitter user said. “That festival was a very important part of my youth and a huge part of the NJ scene.”
The festival was cancelled due to organizers of the festival failing to submit the necessary paperwork for final permits, according to NJ.com.
“There was an ongoing concern we were not getting the required documents from festival organisers in a timely matter,” city business administrator Anthony Swan said to the outlet. “We asked for this information months in advance to protect the city and the taxpayers of Atlantic City. The event was fast approaching, and these issues were still unresolved.”
Those who bought tickets are claiming that they were scammed and are demanding refunds on social media.
