“Bad Boys III” Starring Will Smith & Martin Lawrence Gets Release Date

    Sony Pictures has reportedly announced the release date for a third installment in the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys III (Bad Boys For Life). According to Shadow & Act, the long-awaited sequel to 2003’s Bad Boys II will arrive on January 17, 2020.

    Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the film will see Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise their roles as Detective Sergeants Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, respectively.

    The Hashtag Show shared the plot summary for the upcoming movie: “The film will see Lawrence’s character Marcus Burnett working as a private eye after a falling out with Smith’s Mike Lowery, who is going through a midlife crisis as a bachelor who finally wants to mature, all while dealing with a new a young and cocky partner who is loyal to Lowery but that loyalty is not reciprocated, and finds bond with Burnett when he returns to the fray.

    “Lowery and Burnett are brought together again when a lean, mean, skilled, Albanian mercenary with a vendetta puts a death order on Lowery and Burnett for the death of his brother. Now the two must work together once again to bring him down.”

    The first installment of Bad Boys was released in 1995 and was a smash at the box office, grossing over $141 million worldwide. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]

    Sony Pictures is in early negotiations with Moroccan-born, Belgium-raised directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah to bring Bad Boys III (Bad Boys For Life) to the big screen, according to Deadline. Production could begin as soon as August.

    The original installment of the film, which starred Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, was released in 1995, and helped launch both actors’ careers to a new level.

    Following the success of Bad Boys, its aptly titled sequel — Bad Boys II — premiered in 2003. The third installment in the film franchise will reportedly be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer who brought the first two to life.

    Last August, Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly Bad Boys III wasn’t likely.

    “I don’t think we’re going to get one, not the way everything’s turning out,” Lawrence said. “Will is off doing another movie, and I don’t think it’s going to happen.”

    Evidently, things have changed.

    1. People actually still watch movies? I rarely do but pretty much never anything from this decade. Movies these days suck, the entire 2010s been a huge disappointment when it comes to movies. Many times i tried to watch some new movie but after like 15 minutes gave up.

      1. That’s true, tv series and documentaries is were is at. If you like comedy check out blackish, white famous, Survivors Remorse, other series like Greenleaf, Ray donovan, dexter, snow fall, old show I’m sure you either seen or heard of like The wire, breaking bad etc I’ve even watched orange is the new black thought it was pretty funny, ATL is cool to just thought it had some really dumb stuff in it

    2. If it’s not a 10 sec clip of something to grab my attention on FB then I can’t watch it. I just don’t have the attention span. Hold on, what am I responding to again?!
