The outlet also confirmed that Baby K faces an assortment of charges, including attempted first and second degree murder, assault, and firearms offenses.

According to investigators, the crime happened on May 1, when the 15-year-old allegedly boarded a school bus in Oxon Hill, MD — a suburb of Prince George County, located just outside of Washington, D.C., and just a few minutes east of Alexandria, VA.

He allegedly boarded the bus with two other teenagers, according to Fox 5 Washington D.C. One of the teenagers — whom authorities allege was Baby K — pointed a gun at a 14-year-old’s chest and pulled the trigger, but the gun jammed, and the bullets fell to the floor. Baby K then allegedly pistol-whipped the teen, while his other two companions allegedly began punching and kicking him.

A statement from the chief of the Prince George County police said that the crime “shocked even the most veteran law enforcement officials.”

The victim’s mother, whose name was not released, also shared how traumatizing the incident was. “They tried to kill my son three times and they failed,” the victim’s mother told the outlet. “And you know what I would say to them? You are cowards, You’re gonna forever be a coward. You’re not gonna have any good luck. And you will get caught.”

Three other teenagers have been charged as adults in connection to this attack, including a 14-year-old girl whom authorities say is allegedly the “mastermind” behind the attack. In addition to facing similar charges to Baby K, investigators also say she’s being charged with conspiracy for allegedly hatching the plan in the first place.
