A$AP Rocky has shown love to Hit-Boy and Big Hit for their latest joint single, which is a nod to Pretty Flacko and A$AP Yams.
On Friday (November 10), the father–son duo teamed up for a new song called “A$VP Chauncey,” which was released the same day the California beatmaker was nominated for two Grammy Awards for his work with Nas over the past year.

Under an Akademiks repost of the music video on Instagram, Rocky reacted with a heart and fire emoji to express his support for the tribute, to which Hit-Boy responded: “gangnem.”
Also in the replies was Big Hit, who plugged his next project by writing: “THE TRUTH IS IN MY EYES album soon.”
Hit-Boy and A$AP Rocky go way back, having collaborated on one of the latter’s earliest hits back in 2013, “Goldie.” The producer also soundtracked “1Train,” another track from Rocky’s debut album Long.Live.ASAP that brought together some of Hip Hop’s brightest prospects at the time including Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Big K.R.I.T., Danny Brown and Action Bronson.
Earlier this year, the Surf Club studio chef provided some insight into the heavyweight posse cut, revealing the instrumental was first offered to Drake.
According to Hit-Boy, however, Drizzy turned it down because he already had something similar on the album he was working on at the time — the JAY-Z-assisted “Light Up” from 2010’s Thank Me Later.
“First person i sent this beat to was drake,” Hit-Boy wrote on Twitter. “He said he already had a joint on his album with a similar sound.”

He continued: “So at the end of my session wit rocky for ‘goldie’ i played 1train instrumental and he took it and made it what is it.”
