Angela Simmons has said she’s “happier than [she’s] ever been” following her confirmed relationship with Yo Gotti.
Simmons and the CMG rap mogul confirmed their long-rumored romance on Sunday (January 1) with a romantic New Year’s Eve photoshoot.

The daughter of Run-DMC’s Rev Run has now taken to her IG Stories to share some thoughts on her new relationship. “Happier than I ever been,” she wrote with a heart emoji.

The confirmed relationship between Yo Gotti and Angela Simmons was seemingly manifested by the CMG rapper. Gotti notoriously announced his love for Simmons in his 2015 single “Down in the DM,” which peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“And I just followed Angela (Simmons)/ Boy, I got a crush on Angela Simmons/ They like, ‘Damn Gotti, you bold’/ Fuck it, I’m gon’ let the world know (goals),” Gotti spits on the hit single. He also mentioned Simmons on his 2017 track “Save It For Me,” which dropped shortly after Simmons became engaged to Sutton Tennyson.
“Passed my number to Angela/ I thought I had her/ Her n-gga cuffed her, married, it made me madder/ I respect it, I’m moving on, but the truth is I want her badder/ Maybe me sayin’ her name made him move faster,” he raps on the track.
Rumors intensified in September when the pair were spotted partying it up for Simmons’ 35th birthday, and their relationship was nearly confirmed in November when Simmons posted a photo of her sharing a seductive moment with a mystery man at a party. The man in question was seen wearing the same outfit as Gotti had worn at Simmons’ aforementioned party.

As part of the pair’s Instagram announcement, Simmons also shared some flicks from their photoshoot. One post saw the power couple inside and next to their Rolls-Royce on their way to a New Year’s Eve party, with Simmons again proclaiming her love for Gotti.
“You are all I need and more,” she wrote in the caption.
