Akademiks has quickly walked back his inflammatory claim that Drake helped LeBron James cheat on his wife.
Speaking on his Rumble channel last week, the Hip Hop media personality spread unsubstantiated rumors that Drizzy used to “supply” women for LeBron to sleep with when he would visit Toronto.

Now, during a chat with Kai Cenat on his own Twitch stream, Akademiks apologized to the NBA legend and recanted his salacious statement.
“I fuck with Bron. I kinda feel bad. I went back online and was like, ‘Yo, I’m seeing so many people mad at me. If y’all wanna go with everything I said was cap, I’ll go with that,'” he said.

He added: “We love LeBron. That’s one of our national icons so we gotta hold down his legacy. Everything I said was cap, this shit is not real.”
Ak did, however, claim that Drake, among others, had already “half told on” the Lakers star over his alleged infidelity.

Just days ago, Akademiks ruffled feathers by saying: “Yo LeBron, I talked to enough whores in Canada. Maybe Drake will keep teasing it [but] let me just tell you what I’ve heard. LeBron, you and Drake used to go on two-mans, ok? You’ve been cheating on your goddamn wife.”
He continued by claiming that “Drake used to facilitate the hoes […] He used to supply you with the bitches. I’m sorry, my n-gga.

“If I’m Drake, I’ll snitch on you, too. Sorry, buddy. You can’t do that. You’ve been living a lie. Everybody been thinking you’re this perfect guy, but when you come to Canada, I know some of the whores.
“When you come to Canada, you come to certain places. I’m supplying you with the white women you love. You don’t even like Black chicks. [You like] white women. I’m the guy.”
Despite their close friendship (and alleged arrangement with women), Drake recently appeared to take shots at LeBron on “Fighting Irish Freestyle.”
“The world fell in love with the gimmicks, even my brothers got tickets / Seemed like they loved every minute / Just know this shit is personal to us, and it wasn’t just business,” he rapped, seemingly referencing LBJ attending his fierce rival Kendrick Lamar‘s Pop Out concert last summer.

He also spit: “I guess now you boys gotta abandon your summer tradition / Cold shoulders I gave in the Hamptons, it come with the distance / Figured we was always gon’ be close, like ovens and kitchens / I was sadly mistaken, the loyalty wasn’t a given.”
