Meek Mill and Freddie Gibbs are among those who have taken aim at Akademiks after the controversial media personality was accused of grooming an underage child.
In footage from a Fortnite livestream that surfaced over the weekend, Ak (real name Livingston Allen) was speaking to a 15-year-old boy who goes by the handle NourGXD, and made a number of sexually suggestive comments.
“Yo, if [PlaqueBoy]max said he wanted to try fucking a dude, will you let him fuck you?” he asked the teenager.
When Nour appeared uncomfortable and replied, “No,” Akademiks doubled down and asked: “Why not?”
The Off the Record host also joked about being “inside” of the boy and quizzed him about whether he’d “smash” a fellow streamer’s older sister.
“No, because I’m 15. She’s above 18,” Nour replied before pointing out that that would be “grooming.”

Akademiks received widespread backlash for his disturbing behavior, with rap rivals Meek Mill and Freddie Gibbs quick to condemn him.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Meek warned parents about the streamer, writing: “If your a parent go get ya kids phone and block this man he’s grooming children with a very large platform that ‘kids’ like… also attempts to ruin black families and black success daily ‘VILLAN IN THE VILLAGE.'”
He also said: “At the point he’s an extremist! This the the guy spreading false info on black culture this ‘diabolical work’ I see why he want us all to appear gay and discredit black successful men daily! This better be ai!!!”
Gibbs, who has clashed with Akademiks numerous times in recent years, simply called him a “bitch” on X.

Ak later called his comments “regrettable” and said: “I am wrong. I will be better. This is a teachable moment for me.”
However, he also attempted to defend his remarks to NourGXD by saying: “Bro, it’s a dude. If it was a woman, it would be very different […] That’s like the little bro. I used to teach my cousin even when he was underage like, ‘Yo, n-gga. You don’t got a girl?'”
He also hit back at his critics by bragging: “I’m still the biggest, pause. You can’t cancel what you didn’t build.”
Akademiks’ attempt at an apology was not accepted by Nour, who fired back on X: “After everything that happened and after they tryna defame Max and the shit he said and did is insane he realized he’s in the wrong only bc he got caught.

The teen also called the incident “truly uncomfortable unnecessary and disgusting.”

This is not the first time that Akademiks has been in trouble for sexual comments he has made about minors.
Back in 2017, the 35-year-old appeared to endorse men having sex with underage girls, saying: “If you think about it in the bigger scheme of things, there’s not much difference between a 20 or a 17 or a 21 and a 17. Just kinda means one’s a minor and one’s not a minor.
