The year 2000 saw a number of tremendous debut albums, near the top of that list was Afu Ra. After getting his start with Jeru The Damaja, Afu Ra linked up with Primo and created the “Body Of The Life Force.” The album was critically acclaimed due to Afu’s spiritual rhymes and ill beats from the likes of Premier and Da Beatminerz. This time around Afu-Ra still has Primo handling the boards (and executive producing), as well as beats from RZA, Easy Mo Bee and Tru Master. Your favorite artists’ favorite artist’s, M.O.P. make an appearance along with Guru, Big Daddy Kane and Teena Marie.
Afu Ra had this to say, the title track, ‘Ip Hop’ will definitely make you see that I transcend the ordinary, just like the title of the song. I have songs that express my spiritual side, my hardcore side, my sensitive side and my sexy side. There’s something on the album for everyone, just like a radio station. That’s why I chose to call my album ‘Life Force Radio.’Heads should be very impressed with my new project. Look for it to drop in May on D&D Records
