50 Cent: Young Buck “Genuinely Didn’t Know He Had To Pay Taxes”

Power 99 radio host DJ Cosmic Kev questioned the authenticity of the G-Unit reunion at Hot 97 Summer Jam, during a newly-released interview with 50 Cent and G-Unit. The radio personality brought into question the numerous times 50 revealed that there would be no reunion weeks prior to the group’s performance together in early June at Summer Jam.

According to the Jamaica, Queens rapper, stating that there would be no G-Unit reunion was the “best thing to happen” because it showed interest in a reunion from fans.

50 Cent Reacts When Asked About G-Unit Reunion Being “A Ploy”

“I told them the best thing to happen for them is I said it couldn’t happen,” 50 Cent said during an interview with Power 99. “That’s when the fans started to say ‘No, that’s what I want.’ Because when you not saying anything about it then it’s just missing from our culture. The music is not there…You can feel like they need you. They don’t need none of ‘em. The guy that’s number one right now I feel like you need ‘em. Then he disappears and it’ll still be 10 in the countdown. And it’s cool when you can put—When your entry means something to the culture. Where people can appreciate it cause you offer a perspective that’s a real perspective. My only conflict with a lot of artists is deciphering who’s telling the truth and who’s not.”

50 Cent: Young Buck “Genuinely Didn’t Know He Had To Pay Taxes”

50 Cent later detailed his early encounters with Young Buck, who was closely affiliated with Juvenile at the time, when asked about the G-Unit lyricist owing $200,000 in taxes. After speaking on linking up with the Nashville, Tennessee rapper, he revealed that Buck “genuinely didn’t know that he had to pay the taxes.”

“I had met him before with Juve on the bus and everything,” 50 said. “And I told him I liked his music. But I didn’t go further cause I felt like it’d be disrespectful to Juve. But later when I caught up with him and he was under different circumstances. Juve left him in L.A. and he had to—They had all kind of things going on because he was trying to—Juve was getting away from Baby and them by getting down with Suge. And it was just uncomfortable at one point. He had some contracts put in front of him. Instead of signing the contracts he just broke out in the middle of the night. Now when I spoke to him I’m like ‘Yo, take this. I’mma work with you and learn it.’ The next time he got a phone call he was getting paid. He never—In all the other situations with Cash Money days, with Juve. He was grinding and around it and working, doing little things. But he wasn’t actually being paid for it…He genuinely didn’t know that he had to pay the taxes.”

In April of this year, months prior to G-Unit’s Summer Jam reunion, 50 Cent had this to say about a possible reunion with the group, during an interview with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex:

“There’s a possibility for us to do things, but they gotta get themselves together…I think it’s the work.”

    1. I love how 50 shits on his artists like they are his bitches! He taped that nigga Buck crying on the phone like a bitch and he exposed him as a coke head and an idiot…HAHARHA 50 said this bitch nigga ran off in the middle of the night from Suge! HAHARHA!

      1. The worse was when he said Lloyd Banks used to get clowned by girls back home and suddenly picked up this “blue hefner” when he got famous. I know he hurt his feelings with that.

      2. LMAO!! He compared Tony Yayo to spoiled milk and said he was lazy and then Yayo went on Instagram crying and saying 50 dont fuck with him and Banks! 50 is sneaky, he had them niggas reunite to help hype his own album by promising them niggas a reunion album and a tour but then he shitted on them again and promoted Floyd Mayweather instead of G Unit.

    2. “He had some contracts put in front of him. Instead of signing the contracts he just broke out in the middle of the night.”

Suge had that lil nigga shook.

    3. 50 sold millions of records at a time when there was a vacuum in hiphop. Rocafella was on the decline, Murder INC was so so with Ja Rule, the South really hadn’t popped off outside of Outkast and a few other groups, and the West fell off the map big time. Insert a muscular thug nigga that got shot 9 times and survived (holy shit what he got shot in the face ohhh damn!!) and u add in the hype of Eminem and Dr. Dre and you get good production = the rise of 50 Cent. That initial wave carried all the members of GUNIT but look at the years after 2003. There was a steady decline in record sales (dont give me the digital download bullshit) and with Game gettin’ at them without a response by 50 and GUNIT, they were done by 2007-2008. A mere 5 year run. And since that time what does 50 do? Constantly shit on his own people and release Buck tapes, talk about how Tony Yayo is lazy and how Banks ain’t a ladies man blah blah blah. Isn’t anyone tired of 50 always talkin’ bout his own mans? We already know Buck aint pay taxes. We know Yayo prolly needed ur help with some money, we know Banks didn’t wanna do shit after his father died and u forced him to make the BBB video. God damn man if it wasn’t for this reunion nobody would give a fuck about 50. HHDX needs to get off his nutts seriously.

Do you realize he’s just answering the questions asked to him by the interviewers? whats he supposed to say “fuck you google it?”

      2. Bro…. you gotta be a female to be writing such a long ass comment. For someone who doesn’t like 50 you sure seem to follow his career pretty close.

      3. LOL, pretty much summed up the intelligent consensus, emotional fanboys will say you dont like their hero because you made an acute observation and articulated it with coherence. I couldnt have said it better myself. SALUTE!

      4. no but Bruthadee is the comment above giving OP props for being a groupie hater spending his days writing long ass comments about someone he doesn’t like.

    4. LOL 50 would put your business out there!! I am cool with the Unit Reunion, but you never know with 50 fuck around they might break up again in the future. 50 sure can shit on his own artists…. Hes treating them like theyre his bitches…. Buck didn’t know he had to pay his TAXES… BUCK KNEW just was stupid enough not to pay his taxes.

      1. no fool Buck himself said in a different interview last week with 50 right there that he had never paid taxes before and didn’t know he had to.

      2. Why do you think all these G Unit dudes never got their own labels, or endorsements, or learned how to be succesful solo artists without Interscope? Your leader has to be willing to teach the game so you can be your own boss or you will forever be nothing more than a worker waiting on a reunion to catch some buzz.

      3. You cannot blame the lack of business savvy of other niggas on 50. Evey member of G unit save Yayo n Kidd Kidd is multi platinum, and even Yayo went gold, which is a feat for him, and most artists nowadays. It’s crazy that a rapper can sign a bunch of dudes who barely go gold, with hit singles and barely go gold himself and people say ” They’re winnin'”. Meanwhile another rapper can skyrocket the careers of five other niggas, making them multiplatinum millionaires, even the one who got kicked out; and people say ” he’s a snake… He’s not doing enough for his people”. Shit defies logic…

    6. So Buck hopped out of a window in the middle of the night because of Suge!? What a lame no wonder he cries like a baby over the telephone and is too stupid to pay taxes on his income.

    7. My last pay check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can’t believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do,,,

    10. Can’t anyone see that 50 is doing this for himself? The nigga fell off the hiphop map big time and his only way back was to call on the same dudes hes been talking shit about for the past couple years. This dude is a snake man that only cares about his own self, he didnt do the reunion for banks, yayo, or buck. nigga did it to promote himself only. fkn snake.

      1. ^^^ we got 3 gunit nutt huggers in the building. i bet all 3 of u bitch niggas got ur gunit durags on and ur gunit sneakers too huh? fuckboys

      2. You’re probably right, but them niggas stand to benefit just as much, if not more than 50 does. If any of you niggas believe that any of these “relationships” in rap are anything but mutually beneficial business, you’re an idiot. And, when you factor in that all of these guys are millionaires because of Fif, except Buck, who admits to 50 paying his taxes more than once. I just don’t see what the animosity is for.

    11. why does 50 cents always wear hats. is he bald or somethng he is 40 yers old n still dresses like he on the streets. grow up 50cents u r nt little nemore u look stupid take the hats off

    12. If you knew he was done 3 years in and don’t like his style, you shouldn’t have any reason at all to keep watching his scoreboard for the last 8 years.

If you don’t like the man move on and go live your life listening to someone else.

    13. Liar, When you goto the carryout you pay taxes fool. Any brotha in the hood dumb, killa you name it knows about the man Uncle Sam. CLOWN

Google Exclusive King Of Age!!! and watch that music video. Not Going To Saturate You With Guns, Drugs & Women. Morals Is Fresh!!!

    14. listen 50 cent and gunit sold more albums, more hits, and more mixtapes than anyone even on the radio right now.

      you know why?

because they are that good. EVERYONE was a gunit fan and listened to their music even liked at least ONE song for a at least a 5 to 7 year stretch.

Gunit is the best thing in hiphop right now. and soon the cycle will begin and they will take over

people are getting tired of drake singin to minaj and minaj singing about booty, and these rappers with no skill on the radio riding some trap beat

      its over

    15. i don’t get it. 50 becomes the biggest thing in hiphop. largest debuting hiphop album, and sells millions WORLDWIDE there were people bumping “in da club” in freakin nepal)

He then brings his friends and others along with him. makes tony yayo sell millions, buck sold millions and paid his taxes and then he gets mad when he didn’t again and says fuck gunit, makes games entire album and basically created game and then he back stabs him. then banks sold millions.

and then every rapper jealous and needs some fame tries to beef with 50 cent and he responds out of competition. and even makes them somewhat relevant.

the guy does alot and people wanna hate still, its a fucked up generation keep listening to that garbage on the radio.

      1. @annon,@lol

pretty sure the comment is in relative to 50 cent. its a comment in the comment section of a rap website haha.
        relax
