50 Cent Speaks On House Fire, Ex-Girlfriend

After 50 Cent‘s Long Island home was destroyed by a fire in May [click to read], a local investigator said the fire seemed “highly suspicious” and had arson investigators called to the scene. Now it appears 50 doesn’t necessarily disagree with Dix Hills Fire Chief Larry Field‘s assessment.

When discussing the fire that occurred just days after his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tomkins was ordered to leave the property, 50 told TV One Access, “The courts told her she had to leave. It’s kind of more like, ‘If I can’t have you, you can’t have it.'”

After being asked if he thinks Tompkins set the property ablaze, 50 replied, “Well, I don’t want to say that…don’t try to make me say something I don’t want to say. But, the circumstances to it might seem that way.”

Tompkins and their 10-year-old son, Marquise, were in the house at the time of the fire, and six other people were reportedly hospitalized after the blaze. Tompkins filed a lawsuit claiming 50 Cent promised her the $2.4 million property after the multi-platinum rapper evicted her shortly before the fire in May.
