T.I. is the latest rapper to be targeted by 50 Cent and his social media shenanigans.
The Atlanta rap legend has made an unlikely pivot into the world of stand-up comedy in recent years, but it appears the G-Unit general is not impressed by his comedic talents.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, 50 shared a clip of T.I. seemingly bombing on stage during his recent Cheaper Than Therapy comedy special while delivering a joke about friend and collaborator Young Thug.
“That man was fighting a RICO! I’m sorry, white people — Young Thug is a rapper, he’s from Cleveland Avenue. His name don’t sound like much but he’s held in high regard within the community. He’s a national treasure. Yes, responsible for many negro spirituals,” Tip explained to the audience.
Fif captioned the not-so-flattering clip, which some have suggested was edited to drown out the crowd’s laughter, by writing: “Damn it man! [shocked face emoji] It look easy, but it’s not easy at all. LOL.”
50 Cent didn’t stop there. He later posted a second clip of T.I. getting booed at a 2022 comedy show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and joked: “Oh I didn’t know it was going like this bro, [shrug emoji] why he think he can do that shit? LOL [grinning face emoji].”
It’s unclear what prompted 50’s playful ribbing of T.I., but this is not the first time that there’s been friction between the two.
Back in 2020, the rap veterans traded jabs after Tip challenged Fif to a Verzuz battle — a matchup that many fans were keen to see.
“Pull yo ass up, man, with 20 of your records and sit cross from me and get this work,” T.I. said. “But I understand if you don’t want to answer to that challenge because last time you got challenged, Kanye West dusted yo ass off so, you might not want to do that!”
In typically troll-worthy fashion, 50 responded by posting Tip’s controversial Crime Stoppers commercial from the late 2000s along with a snippet of G-Unit’s song “You So Tough.”
“Why you make me do this Neega [@MichaelBlackson voice],” he taunted. “This the first song I’m a play you so Tuff T.O.S.”

Oh god, 50 just roasted T.I. like he’s a bad Yelp review. “Damn it man!”? Bro, you’re the one who tried to sell crack to kids in a commercial and now you’re clowning someone for bombing on stage? Classic. T.I. might’ve been a king of Atlanta, but comedy? Nah, that’s not your crown. You’re just a rapper who forgot how to shut up. 50’s right—this ain’t easy, and you’re failing hard. LOL.
50 is a cornball so are you. TI was no king just self proclaimed. Also “rapper who doesn’t know how to shut up” that is 50 and his camp. Music career TI outlasted 50, creating successful artists at a label also outdid 50, Travis Scott was signed to Grand Hustle, Iggy, Doe B, DJ Drama, B.o.b., Trae The Truth he had actual names at his label meanwhile G Unit is and was a dump. Eminem who signed 50 same thing Shady is a dump and he slandered Future and Migos then went to work with Juice Wrld to do a Future style chorus on Godzilla.
TI’s former artists also don’t hate him. 50’s do. Trae is still signed to him.
Black people not good at anything. Look they burn down buildings they good for destruction and being stupid
50 fell hard too lying on Diddy and making a hit piece. Claiming they weren’t friends seen footage they seem pretty friendly to me until 50 got jealous. Also Diddy smashed his baby mama and she loved Diddy not 50.
Eminem goo Diddy hooked him up for Dead Wrong
TI was never the king. Charleston White is right. Honestly Lil Baby holds it in the streets and Carti elsewhere. Wayne was King during TI’s time not of ATL but of the south and rap overall. Someone get that man in the studio with Ye for I Am Not A Human Being 3
Stfu. You sound dumb as hell.
You sound dumb! TI was no king look back he claimed it but he was not the king of the south just a fake thug. Lil Wayne was the real king
Lil Baby and Carti are the top Atlanta artists now not TI. Baby with street rap and Carti with his sound.
We need that. Wayne needs to work with younger artists that better fit him and Ye on production Tecca, Uzi, NBA YoungBoy, Carti, Rugrat, Kodak, TJay, Lil Baby, Travis, that would sound better.
Don Toliver too. Mannie is the only producer from Carter 6 who should remain.
